Chuck Schumer says a 'lawless' Trump has caused a constitutional crisis
NBC News ^ | 3/20/25 | Sahil Kapur

Posted on 03/21/2025 8:21:40 AM PDT by DallasBiff

When asked if he agrees with scholars who say the U.S. is in a constitutional crisis, Schumer responded, “Yes, I do.”

“And democracy is at risk. Look, Donald Trump is a lawless, angry man. He thinks he should be king. He thinks he should do whatever he wants, regardless of the law, and he thinks judges should just listen to him,” Schumer told moderator Kristen Welker. The full interview will air on “Meet the Press” on Sunday.

Next thing you know Trump will ignore the results of a primary election and appoint his own candidate.

This is getting to an actual legal debate: MUST Trump spend every dime allocated by Congress as directed; i.e., DOD allocations for defense, DOS or DOH, etc.? As to how many employees he needs for each of those jobs, it is clearly an executive function (nor should Congress be telling him which ships, guns, and airplanes to buy). The gray area comes in as to how much money he needs to perform those jobs and where that excess goes. Yes, Biden was lawless in spending even more than was allocated for items never directed, but I don’t recall the GOP going to a judge to sue about that.

The most scrutinize, litigated man in American history is lawless because he’s enforcing existing law. The lawlessness is what’s going on in our massive bureaucracy. Hey Chuck, money laundering taxpayer money is real lawlessness. You snake.

“”“I don’t trust him,” Schumer said. “We have to watch him like a hawk. Defying court orders is why our democracy is at risk and we’ll have to do everything to fight back in that regard.”””

Yeah, well... the majority of Americans who just elected Trump to combat your ilk, don’t trust you, Chuck.. and we are watching YOU like a hawk.

You’re part of the ongoing commie deep state coup against the will of We, the People and have been for DECADES. You have contributed to the tanking of our economy via radical leftist policies, including looting the US Treasury via Democrat money laundering entities and causing the Indymac bank failure in 2008... which preceded the tanking of our economy... which allowed the selection of Obama... which further destroyed “our democracy”. You commie rats have done enough damage to the nation. It’s time somebody puts an end to your destruction... once and for all... and for good. Full stop.

Like paying no attention to the Supreme Court’s ruling on forgiveness of student loans?

Actually, they did pay attention. The court orders have all been with respect to specific loan forgiveness programs under various statutory theories. SCOTUS never said that any loan forgiveness programs of any kind is beyond Presidential authority.

So, each time Biden lost, they'd cancel that program and try to figure out a new, more limited and narrow one that might pass court muster. And as the courts shut down each one, the Biden Administration did comply with those orders.

Doesn’t this make sense why DS wanted to eliminate education for Government, The Constitution, and the Bill of Rights?

It would be great if some Republican judge issued an order prohibiting Schumer from opening his big mouth.

Just kidding. Maybe.

Schumer believes the courts should be a collective ‘progressive’ dictatorship:

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/we-had-an-awful-choice-schumer-defends-voting-with-gop-saying-shutdown-would-be-worse

“The good news here is, we did put 235 judges, progressive judges, judges not under the control of Trump, last year on the bench, and they are ruling against Trump time after time after time. And we hope that the appellate courts, when it gets up there, and the Supreme Court will uphold those rulings.”
