The far-left New York Times cannot even report on the tremendous news egg prices have dropped by nearly half since last month without reporting it as bad news — you know, because Orange Man Bad.
“Egg Prices Have Dropped, Though You May Not Have Noticed,” reads a headline we would never see if Barry Obama were still in office. Never forget that during his disastrous eight years in office, the regime media told us “unemployment” was really “funemployment.”
“The wholesale price of eggs has dropped sharply since the beginning of March after soaring for months, but it may take a few weeks for grocery shoppers to see the decline,” reads the opening paragraph.

Turkey and other countries are supplying a large number of eggs:
Whats the big deal with eggs? Eggs 12 bucks a dozen? Don’t buy them.
Its like all the nations of the world are playing a sport all with different rules. How are you supposed to "win" if everyone is playing by different economic rules?
But the strange thing in all of this...My local supermarket brand price for a dozen eggs was $10.19! At the same store brand-named Eggland's Best were $7.99 and at Trader Joes, organic, brown, cage-free, enviornmentally sensitive, woke, ESG, DEI, personally caressed by Greta Thunberg eggs were $3.99
It's a supplier/farm dead chicken issue primarily.
I have not heard a good reason why reciprocal tariffs are not a good thing. If you tariff me 50%, I tariff you 50%.
Bought a dozen yesterday at Aldi’s for under 5 dollars for the first time in a long time.
Down 50% from what? My Walmart shows eggs down from $9.02 to $8.22 for 18 extra large.
Who buys wholesale?
They should offset, right? Not for the weaker of the two nations, and that is their fault for picking the fight in the first place.
“The US Department of Justice launched a preliminary investigation into the surge in egg prices across the country. The goal, according to Bloomberg, is to check whether egg producers Cal-Maine Foods and Rose Acre Farms have colluded to raise prices and limit supply of the product.”

I think so. Only fair!
One good thing?
As the price for regular eggs rose, many folks tried out the “fancy” ones for just a few cents more.
$6 for regular?
$6.49 for Pasture Raised?
Many will have a chance to compare and evaluate the cost/value benefit.
(For those that don’t know, Yep, they really are betterer.)
MAHA roll on!
It is the supplier relationship that Walmart has. For whatever political reason, the states’ regulations are coming down hard on the big chicken farms, forcing them to kill all their chickens and creating artificial scarcity. It is absolutely true that Trader Joe’s eggs are around $3.95 a dozen. That’s where I have began buying my eggs.
This is my opinion and eggs are a big part of my diet.
My test was eating each type poached, which I think is one of the most pure ways to taste an egg. I also compared them over-easy. Not a real difference in taste. But that is me - your mileage may vary.
Yep. Trader Joe's is really growing on me. They have a lot of good stuff for a good price.
TJ’s has good prices on wine and beer as well. Simpler Times Pilsner is a Trader Joe’s brand beer, a Czech-style pilsner, brewed by a family-owned brewery in Wisconsin, Minhas Craft Brewery, known for its refreshing and balanced flavor. Here’s the best part, it’s $7.99 a 12 pack or $.67 per beer and it is actually pretty good.
Has anyone ever taken a deep dive into the nutrients’ levels? Our part time free range hens’ eggs have almost orange yolks compared to the very pale (by comparison) store “regular” eggs. Whether that means anything, I don’t know.
