Shocking expose showed ex-Jihadist paid to attack Trump..
Freedom Center Investigates has lately been covering abuses at the Voice of America including attacking the Front Page Magazine,as ‘Islamophobic’, running Taliban attacks on Trump and employing an Afghan ex-Jihadist who had fought in a Jihadist group under Osama bin Laden’s mentor to attack Trump.
Now the end is near.
After our reporting, all employees at the VOA have been placed on administrative leave and many of the affairs of the Agency of Global Affairs Media are being wound down. I have mixed feelings about this. There was a time when we broadcast a true voice of freedom, but increasingly we are funding media outlets that, like most media outlets, are hostile to America and the cause of freedom. I’ve heard terrible things about the Persian language VOA being infiltrated by Iran regime supporters. And the VOA’s decision to push anti-Trump propaganda on Americans was a profound violation of its charter and mission.
I believe America should have a ‘voice’ to represent our message abroad, but the current system that was set up during the Cold War may no longer be salvageable. Anything infected by the media is simply a dead end.
Our investigation of USAID and VOA showed how bad the rot was.
USAID provided funding to set up a Mujahadeen propaganda network known as the Afghan Media Resource Center. The terror media network, which reportedly required all personnel to “sacrifice for holy jihad”, operated under the auspices of the United States Information Agency (USIA): the parent organization of Voice of America.
One of the points I made in my reporting on VOA’s growing extremism was that Democrats had repeatedly pushed it to report critically on the United States.
President John F. Kennedy had told Voice of America staffers that their mission was to “paint us ‘with all our blemishes and warts,’ all those things about us that may not be immediately attractive.” Taxpayers should not be paying to have an arm of the government telling the rest of the world that America is a terrible place. And certainly not sending that message to Americans.

I don’t know. I would like to find out. Bothers me that Trump places her in charge of VOA and then scraps the whole thing. I would think that it would have been a very useful and productive global tool to advance and expand the TRUTH of Trump’s righteous agenda to counter combat the global BS being pumped out about him. It was broadcast around the world and could have had a huge positive impact on global perspectives. Broadcast the raw truth instead of brainwashing propaganda. And Kari is great for doing that very thing...

Well she was at VOA and it could have been an extremely useful tool for spreading the truth globally.

It absolutely was indeed, full communist... But it could have been converted into a very good truth machine. The infrastructure was already in place.
Maybe he will replace it with a new network and truth machine. I think it would be money well spent towards a truly positive direction. everyone in the world is being fed BS about Trump and the US by their own country. So this would be one source of the truth globally. Local TV is not going to do it, local radio is not going to do it... So we should do it. There is nothing more valuable than the truth, it can be priceless.

The idea is a good one, but as it is with so much today the left infiltrated it and destroyed its purpose and objective. Burn it down.

However, I do think with the Internet being what it is, it has obviated the use of radio, and even television for information gathering. I think VOA could have been very useful back in the day, when powerful radio transmitters were streaming broadcasts deep into the Iron Curtain territories, but I think there are ways now to get information via the Internet.

Thing is they were still using those powerful transmitters. And they were also broadcasting on shortwave radio. We are judging information sources available as a country with advanced technology, we take things for granted. When the reality is quite a bit of the world still does not have that internet technology universally available to “everyone” like we do and TV and Radio is all they have.
And of course local TV and Radio is not going to give them the truth about the US. VOA was our only way to deliver anything to these oppressed 3rd world and remote cultures. And their view of the US is important too. Example Iran, most of Iran has no internet, and they are being fed BS. But if they could hear it for themselves directly from us it could make a difference in how they view their own government.
Point is, even though AM radio in this country is considered obsolete, it is still one of the few sources for Conservative and Christian truth. There are a whole bunch around the country and world even here who do not want to lose those AM radio sources of information and truth. And I mean to the point that public outrage made car manufacturers change their minds about eliminating the option of AM band from new cars. Every source has extreme value. And radio is absolutely not obsolete yet.
Aside from the fact the internet is a product you have to purchase to use. Radio is free to receive without any financial ties or restrictions...

Of course, we weren’t likely going to broadcast to Eastern Europe that we were having race riots in Watts, so it is true that it was American propaganda.
But our “propaganda” was better than their “truth”!
OK, good, thank you. They obviously misrepresented when all the headlines claimed she was “heading the VOA”. She must be heading another dept not just VOA.
I think with a lot of these agencies they’re gonna gut them down to the frame and then rebuild.
