BELGRADE, March 15. /TASS/. Traffic is paralyzed in most parts of Serbia's Belgrade as thousands of demonstrators arrive in the city center, a TASS correspondent reported from the scene.

Thousands of student demonstrators continue to arrive from different parts of Belgrade. The protesters are carrying Serbian flags, using drums, vuvuzelas and whistles. Police forces are deployed along the march route, and foot policemen are also among the demonstrators.

The March 15 protest rally involves blocking key points in the capital. According to the plan published on social media, the blockades of major highway interchanges began by noon, with the rally scheduled to culminate at 4:00 p.m GMT. The Tanjug news agency reported, citing a source in the city administration, that public transport in Belgrade was halted for the rest of the day amid the protests.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic vowed that the country's leaders would manage to maintain peace and stability under pressure from the protesters.

"I believe that the majority of Serbians want to build a better and more successful country. I am convinced that even today we will withstand all pressures, all attacks, and I believe that we will be able to maintain peace and stability and then build and win in the future, just as we raised Serbia from the ashes 13 years ago to then take it to unprecedented heights and become the fastest growing economy in Europe. Serbia must not stop. Long live Serbia!" Vucic said.

What are they protesting, other than not being the ones holding elected office?

That’s pretty much it. They’re protesting the government but it’s presented as “anti-corruption” movement. It all began last November when the collapse of a railway station canopy in the second city of Novi Sad killed 15 people.

ARTICLE Why are tensions running high in Serbia ahead of a major student-led rally? By DUSAN STOJANOVIC Updated 11:41 AM EDT, March 13, 2025 https://apnews.com/article/serbia-protests-students-vucic-belgrade-novi-sad-a0387d7b015995f2307894b413e38813 "How did the president respond to months of protests? Vucic has tried to ease the pressure by sacrificing the prime minister, who resigned in December along with the government. He put forward draft legislation on university education, while 16 people were charged over the disaster in Novi Sad. At the same time he has described the protests as a ploy organized in the West to oust him from power. Vucic sought and obtained support from Russia’s President Vladimir Putin while cracking down on liberal rights groups at home... Thousands of people from all over Serbia are expected to converge on Belgrade by Saturday. Already, hundreds of students have begun marching on the capital from various directions, while some are also cycling. The citizens of Belgrade, a city of some two million people, also are likely to swarm the streets in huge numbers as support for the student-led protests has persisted despite Vucic’s campaign against them. -Excerpt (Excerpt)

Just waiting for some elite politician or royal to be assassinated by an “anarchist” to get this WW3 ball rolling.

Wow. I’m so glad you posted this, not just for the immediate relevance but because it proves once again that so much written in these pages should be saved for posterity.

The knowledge shared over these years is better than any history book someone might publish. The connected dots, the uncovered truths, the anonymous insights - these pages that JimRob invented are gold.

As is, these almost 30 years of history don’t even weigh an ounce, but mined and published for the nuggets of wisdom and truth, the volumes would take up a hockey stadium, at least.

Anyway, I’ve got Saturday chores to get done but leaving this AND the links within that thread open for later reading.

Thanks much.

I love FReepers.

Yes, that was Taibbi before anybody knew how good he was: Compassionate, truthful, and irreverent.

The story I developed on that thread about the Masonic intrigues underlying CIA spook William Walker's family history and the Bush clan with it is one serious dive.

“The protesters are carrying Serbian flags...”

Looks like the Globalists FINALLY figured out that carrying UN and EU flags wasn’t the best look. Too bad (for them) that it cost them their Color Revolution in Georgia to finally conclude that...as Georgia remains buddies with Russia.

What is astonishing about this article is what is omitted. What are they protesting?

More important, is this spontaneous, or is it being organized by some group with a political agenda?

My Spidey sense is this is not organic. Rather, another US State Department/EU/British/NATO “Color Revolution” funded by the CIA and executed by NGO front groups trying to destabilize the current administration and install a puppet regime.

NOTE: TASS is a Russian news agency. So that may skew the reporting.

The FreeRepublic Archive was a tragic loss of historic magnitude. If I hadn't known when I posted that thread, I might never have found it again in the Wayback Machine. It was the WP/LAT case that destroyed the Archive, and much of FReepers' original work was lost with it. I could have killed Clarity over that one, as there was a way to have won that case by which FR could have been the conservative equivalent of Facebook in magnitude. IMO, it was a blown opportunity.

It seems Walker is still alive. He was made an honorary citizen of Albania in 2008 and given numerous awards there. They hate Serbs and love Walker.

Already, two major mainstream French newspapers--Le Monde and Le Figaro--as well as French national television have run exposes on the Racak incident.

From the wayback article

At some point after the Euro was implemented and Brussels super-state "went live," the French in all regards made a radical shift from chafing against and opposing the US deep-state, to joining it and trying to co-opt it.

With Albanians pipelining Muzzies into Italy, I shouldn't wonder.

OK

The protesters are carrying Serbian flags,

OK

using drums,

OK

vuvuzelas

Live ammo usage by the riot police is now authorized. Deadly force for can and should be used.

If you take the vuvuzela away from someone and shove it up his backside, the noise it makes is just as obnoxious.
