We are quite well off as retirees in Spain and the kids are well provided for at home, not that they need it. As Spanish salaries go, my retirement takehome is in the ballpark of a specialist surgeon. @130,000Euro or so.
Thats pretty comfy but not riches in the US, for old retired people. But get this - private medical insurance here is @280/month each all in. Do Medicare with extra in the US. And the cost of living?

Straw man argument; the Zeepers use the same one. If you don’t want WWIII, they claim you support Putin. To them, Putin is Satan and Zelensky is treated like a heroic ‘Saint’. They make it seem like you have to support one or the other and ignore it when you say you support the USA. Those nations have to figure out their own problems.
Ironically, the parallel here is that neither the USA nor Russia wants WWIII, but Zelensky is holding out for war.
