Wyoming Abortion Biz Stops Killing Babies After Governor Signs Licensing Law

Wyoming’s only surgical abortion center will stop killing babies after the governor signed a law that requires proper licensing for abortion businesses.

Wellspring Health Access, Wyoming’s only abortion biz with both surgical abortions and the abortion pill, will quit killing babies for now while it files a lawsuit against the law.

This decision followed the enactment of a state law mandating that facilities doing surgical abortions be licensed as outpatient surgical centers. Additionally, the law requires abortion businesses to have hospital admitting privileges within a 10-mile radius. Both requirements are necessary for when abortion clinics injure women in botched abortions and they need emergency medical care.

In response to the law, Wellspring Health Access filed a lawsuit seeking to block its enforcement. This legal action adds to ongoing litigation challenging the constitutionality of Wyoming’s abortion ban, which is still tied up in court.

Gov. Mark Gordon last week signed into law two bills that immediately placed strict restrictions on facilities that perform abortions. The first measure requires facilities to receive licensing as ambulatory surgical centers for patients who do not need to be hospitalized. The licensing requires a center to have hallways wide enough to accommodate an ambulance gurney and requires abortionists to obtain admitting privileges at a nearby hospital.

The other law requires women to receive an ultrasound at least 48 hours before taking abortion drugs. Reports disagree on whether women are more likely to choose life after seeing their baby on an ultrasound. One study published in 2014 found that women who were unsure about whether or not to have an abortion were more likely to choose not to after an ultrasound. The pro-life organization PreBorn! said about 80% of women who visit an associated clinic and see their baby choose life.

Tells all you need to know. Here in Indiana a few years ago we passed a similar law requiring abortion mills to meet the same standards of cleanliness and safety as hair salons and vet clinics and PPH immediately took it to court and had it stopped.

These people care nothing about the health and safety of women. They just want to kill babies for fun and profit.

This type of information needs to be shared from the mountain tops and every director of an abortion clinic and anyone who supports them needs to be made to explain their position on these types of laws. We need to stop allowing them to hide behind their made-up terms of ‘Women’s Health Centers’ and ‘Reproductive Rights’ make them say abortion.
