Mann Ordered to Pay More than those He Sought to Destroy

In a stunning but not unexpected ruling today, Judge Irving of the DC Superior Court has reduced the unconstitutional punitive damages jury award against Mark from one million dollars to a mere $5,000.

Our brilliant legal counsel Christopher Bartolomucci reacted to the news, "We argued for Mark that the $1 million in punitive damages awarded by the D.C. jury was grossly excessive and unconstitutional. We are pleased that the Superior Court agreed, held that the award violated the Due Process Clause, and reduced it to $5,000."

Perhaps, Michael E. Mann's attempted bribe of a Supreme Court Justice was a tad premature?

I'll add a million dollars to that. https://t.co/b2dcYR4oak — Prof Michael E. Mann (@MichaelEMann) February 19, 2024

Here's the state of the play...

Last February, a jury of Mark's "peers" in the fetid toilet of the DC court system found that Mann had not been damaged by Mark's blog post about Penn State corruption - awarding him only a dollar in nominal damages.

However, Mark was a longtime guest host for Rush Limbaugh and – according to Mann's lawyer - it was necessary to send a message not to mess with "climate scientists". So, the jury topped that $1 in nominal damages with one million dollars in punitive. Predictably, the mainstream media and climate cultists went gaga over it whilst anyone with a passing acquaintance of the law understood this award would not stand up.

However, the half million dollar judgment against our co-defendant National Review (NR) appears to be holding up just fine...

Just a few weeks ago, Mann told the court he shouldn't have to pay as NR will be on the hook to pay the 1M verdict against Mark – or even more:

Michael Mann’s lawfare suit was the quintessence of deep-state, government funded, political lawfare and propaganda.

Mann filed suit in liberal cess-pit Washington DC, using liberal, rigged DC courts, against conservative writer, opposing the leftist/government narrative of climate change. They attempted to bankrupt Steyn as a lesson to conservatives, and they nearly destroyed his health. Meanwhile Mann’s legal fees were paid for rich democrat donors and likely NGOs (who were probably grifting off Fed.gov money). This lawfare has been going on for 13 years already.

As much as you may hate Washington DC - its not enough.

Dang, I can’t believe this is STILL going on. Steyn has been fighting this for years. The process is the punishment.

ok, that’s good. it should actually be $10 given the normal ratio of punitive to actual damages. it really should be zero since Mark was entirely innocent and would have been found so in any non-kangaroo, DC cesspool jury pool. especially after Mark defended himself and vanquished them all on every ground legal and scientific, including climate ‘science’ experts and academes they presented, in a tour d’force case against mann using their own so called ‘science’ and climate science professors, many of whom mann had destroyed on social media in a fit of jealous rage for opposing him and his lousy hockey stick fraud, as witnesses against him. if it wasn’t for a corrupt judge, jury, and ‘pro-bono’ mann lawyer running amok, Mark would have won easily imho.

so even $500 is too much for honest man Mark who still stands on the piece he wrote about prof. mann. when many would have ponied up and thanked their lucky stars they got away with only 5 grand, the intrepid and pugnacious Mark is already appealing this travesty.

Mikey Fraudpants is in for a while world of hurt when the Appeal Courts hear the case. It will be fun to watch as the legal system that he has used to punish his critics, turns on him. Conservatives cannot get a fair trial in DC or NYC.
