Bringing back shame, in its basic form, would be a nice start.
That doesn’t change the fact that tattoos are just fashion, now. All sorts of ordinary and even very conservative people have them - like my in-laws, who decided to celebrate their 50th birthdays by getting tattoos that were meaningful to them. We may find a lot of them ugly; but it’s still just fashion and it doesn’t make a woman a ‘tramp’.
The writer is a she. I don't see anything near implying she or anyone else does (or should) roam the streets looking for this sort of thing. in fact, you don't have to; it's in your face all the time.
Start with my kids college campus.
Up before the Flesh Parade...
The pretty faces...
The bedroom eyes...
The pouting lips.
The longing thighs say “Come in for a night, you won’t
regret it - but don’t make any plans”.
She likes a man, but a hand is just as effective.
A mutual need. No need to talk. No moonlit walks, no
sun-drenched beaches.
Just a bed and just an alarm clock that says your time
is up.
Go find another body (boy, girl) in the Flesh Parade.
The line-up never changes. And, sure, nobody’s perfect. Just good at perfect crimes.
We have the standard phrases; ask the time. How about
the weather? Don’t care about the sports. My only interest is your mind.
(Got the time for a grind in the Flesh Parade?)
Okay so some of the way this is worded is cringe but I agree wholeheartedly with the premise. This was always going to be the case and I just don’t understand why women can’t see it.
my own personal pet-peeve: 300lb women wearing yoga pants.
So, you’re a FATist, me too.
It's far more difficult (and dangerous) to walk through a world where men and women wear costumes that hide their true identity.
Jane you ignorant slut
I really didn’t say a tattoo made a woman a tramp.
I said that a tattoo is referred to as a tramp stamp.
Back in the day women who wore red were said to dress like a ‘ho, but that did not mean they were.
The purpose of a tattoo like any “fashion” is to draw attention and send a message either a subtle one or an overt one.
Anyone who gets a tattoo must understand the attention drawn may be viewed as a negative by some folk.
In my estimate, it doesn't "make them a tramp", but when I see even a beautiful woman with a tattoo it does lower my estimation of them, at least somewhat. As a Christian, I believe the body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. At the least, it's a beautiful creation of God. Putting a tattoo on it is like painting graffiti on the Sistine Chapel.

So, in the words of every airport everywhere, if you see something, say something.
What happened to her lips?
“Tramp Stamp’ refers to a tattoo located in a certain area - a woman’s lower back.
A hoe is a garden tool. A ho is just a shortened version of whore.
Me three!
as long as they are between 95 and 145lbs(proper Weight to Height ratio), going braless is totally acceptable.... js...
“..I’ve seen women show up for church literally dressed like whores going out fora night on the town. No regard for what that’s doing to the men in the congregation and for the kids who had to see it....”
Yep. It got so bad where I used to attend that I even went so far as to set up a private meeting with the pastor to discuss this very issue.
He basically told me in no uncertain terms “to get with the day and times we that live in....” I just kinda shook my head as I left out of the meeting.
I eventually had enough both physically and spiritually, finally left there and returned to my dear old mother’s home church: old fashioned Pentecostal. I found myself good with that move, and I guess my old church is glad that I left there too along with my “old fashioned” tithing.
What I can’t understand is how actresses/ musicians etc feel it necessary to half dress at these awards shows. The ones with no tats and nice outfits look so much more attractive.
