“You know damn well the war started in 2014 with the Maidan coup sponsored by Obama and his henchmen”

Thank you. I thought I was all alone. It reminds me of the time USSR tried to put missiles in Cuba. Kennedy said, Not in my backyard. Russia seems to be expected to accept having NATO on their doorstep.

Biden BEGGED Putin to invade Ukraine..telling him that he will allow a “Small incursion” now imagine had Trump said “OK putin, you have my permission to invade a teeny tiny bit”

Ultimately the bad guy was Joe Biden (or his puppeteers). Yeah, Putin’s a thug, but we all know that. Biden knew that and yet he gave clear signals and enticements to Putin to invade.

Now we have a new president who doesn’t have the luxury of being able to turn back the clock. He’s trying to broker a deal that gets the parties as close to their pre-war boundaries as possible without escalating a conflict that never would have started if he had been president at the time. And he wants to end a stalemate that’s costing us 100’s of billions with nothing to show for it but more slaughter.

The Maidan coup was a legal result of Ukrainian political-legal process. Much like the removal of that South Korean President, for abusing his powers.

. Putin had ambitions to go after all of Ukraine

Then, why did the Russians work out the Minsk Accords between Ukraine and Donetsk and Lugansk that would have kept both as part of Ukraine?

What the Ukrainians think is the only thing that matters? GTFOOH! We’ve spent billions and billions on a proxy war against Russia. No more $$$ for Zelensky, and absolutely no American troops going to Ukraine. If Europe wants to ignite WW3, that’s on them.

If the Ukranians want to suffer that’s not our concern.

Three words; CIA Maidan coup....

One word: immaterial.

Putin had Ukraine in his cross-hairs way before the corruption which supposedly occurred in Ukraine, and before any CIA involvement. Heck, Putin still has his cross-hairs on other former Soviet union satellites. But, 'it's not our problem' so let them duke it out by themselves.

Trump is a good negotiator, but I think he have messed up on this one by bragging too much about immediately ending the war if he knew that Zelensky (and Putin) were difficult customers.

Might have been better to have said he (Trump) was for peace and would stop America’s encouragement & support for war and would do everything he could to gain peace.

Better than “guaranteeing” immediate peace. Kind of put Trump and America in the middle where they don’t belong and gave the Left and apparently Zelensky ammunition for sabotage.

Ukraine CAN’T defend itself.
Zelensky needs to understand this or lose what’s left of Ukraine.
He needs to sign the minerals deal and have US businesses in there, accept a peacekeeping force and a cease fire.
The rest of the west does not think that the amount of land he’s lost is worth a life ending global conflagration. Period.
If Zelensky continues to stall, his government must impeach him and throw him out or Ukraine will be obliterated.

If it is the popular will of a people that utterly loathe the Kremlin ... this is not about some politicians or “deep state” people. This is that Russia as it is constituted has made millions of enemies.

Russia is not going to fix that by playing political games. Or even by persuading you, who aren’t really involved.

The Maidan coup was a legal result of Ukrainian political-legal process

Wrong. Former President Yanukovych was illegal removed from office without the necessary 3/4th majority in the Ukrainian parliament.

And, more than 70% of Donetsk, Lugansk and Crimea voted for Yanukovych. The entire annexed area voted for him.

The Ukraine can’t buy anything. They are broke. We have been paying their bills and their pensions.

You end this for us and for them by cutting Zelensky off.

Zelensky cannot be trusted to make any deals with. He needs to go.

As I see it that’s 1/2 the story. In the beginning there was much talk about making Ukraine a nato member. Russia wasn’t having that. They weren’t interested in having nato military hardware right on their border. So, as a matter of self defense and provocations went into Ukraine to make it theirs. Bottom line is the US, nato and likely others did considerable Russian eye poking in the lead up to where we are.

Back in the days of the Cold War, whenever the Soviets set up (or looked like they were setting up) communist-allied regimes on our doorstep (Cuba, Nicaragua, Grenada), measures were taken to combat that. Somehow, though, many here seem to think it’s totally unreasonable for the Russians to take any issue with the CIA/US State-department-affiliated Ukraine that has been in place since the Maidan coup of 2014.

Because Putin was never going to permit it to work. As in Ukraine was supposed to be allowed to reoccupy the old border pending elections. They weren’t. It was a dead letter at that point, clearly the result of fake negotiations.

But wait a minute, didn’t Putin invade the Ukraine? Doesn’t the Ukraine have a right to defend itself?

To the very last man? To the very last American dollar? To the very last European soldier? To the initiation of nuclear war?

Yes, they have the right to defend themselves. But there is a time for war, and there is a time for peace. We have reached the latter.

The Ukrainians were key players in the coup against President Trump. The first impeachment was driven by President Trump's call to Zelensky and Ukrainian-born "whistle-blower" Col. Vindman was the impetus. Col. Vindman was offered the high position of Defense Minister of Ukraine THREE TIMES by the Ukraine - why? The coup against President Trump led us into the Ukraine War and the death of hundreds of thousands of people and the impoverishment of America. We are led by traitors and snakes.

Vindman, 44, explained during his impeachment testimony that he had been offered the position three times but declined the position because of his loyalty to the United States. The lieutenant colonel was born in Ukraine, but his family immigrated to the U.S. when he was a toddler.

Vindman claimed he did not know why he was offered the high ranking position of defense minister.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/vindman-reveals-that-he-had-been-offered-a-position-as-defense-minister-of-ukraine

And, amazingly, after President Trump was only out of office a little over a year we were at war with Russia at the behest of the Ukraine.
