Well...YES...pure democracy does seem to lend itself to federal government kickbacks, bribes and graft, it seems.
REPUBLICS, on the other hand, tend to keep (or try to keep) power of the federal government in check.
And with all the graft that came back to dems from Ukraine, I’d say zelenskey has kept that aspect of pure democracy alive and well.
