Călin Georgescu, the far-right politician who emerged from obscurity to the first place in the now-cancelled presidential elections, and whose financial backing was questioned from the beginning, was taken in to be questioned by prosecutors on Wednesday, February 26, in a case targeting, among others, alleged actions against the constitutional order. According to media reports, he was stopped in traffic by the police and taken to the Prosecutor General's Office.
The former presidential candidate's communication team confirmed the news on social media, saying, "Călin Georgescu was about to submit his new candidacy for the presidency. Approximately 30 minutes ago, the system stopped him in traffic and took him in for questioning at the General Prosecutor’s Office! Where is democracy, and where are the partners who should be defending it?"
Georgescu is to be questioned as a part of a large police investigation that reportedly targets mercenary Horațiu Potra, in connection with the financing of the former's campaign for president. Roughly 50 searches were organized in the same case, which also targets alleged actions against the constitutional order, a crime punishable with 15 to 25 years in prison.

For those who don’t know, Romania was being set up as the launching point for the next round of the Neocon War against Russia, due to their proximity to Ukraine (or what ends up being left of Ukraine), along with the being on the Black Sea (huge NATO bases being built there).
Obviously, as with Trump 1.0, the Neocons have to put their plans on hold while Trump 2.0 is in office, but if they lose Romania, then their war against Russia is lost, once and for all - so they cannot let that happen.
I don’t think the Euroweenie fascists would put up with George Carlin either.
The largest NATO base in Europe is about to open in Romania.
After hearing Trump and particularly J. D. Vance in Munich, this Gestapo action could not be more of an “in your face” for Vance and Trump.
Enough is enough. It’s time for U.S. sanctions on the NGOs, EU corruptocrats and Romanians who corrupted the election landslide of Georgescu.

“The communist-Bolshevik system continues its heinous abuses! Today, at 6 in the morning, they raided dozens of locations again, storming into families’ homes and waking children from their sleep. They are desperately trying to fabricate evidence to justify the theft of the elections and to do whatever it takes to block my new presidential candidacy. They have been searching for three months without success.
I, on behalf of my voters and those who, despite having different political options, want a democratic and free Romania, am fighting against this securist system that seeks to enslave us. We are living under communism—there is nothing free or legal about what is happening. I will not give up!”

I suspect what the Globalists are thinking is that their only hope now with restarting their War of Aggression against Russia is to outlast Trump and hope that a Democrat takes over in the US. So, rather than allowing a Romanian candidate who DOES NOT want his country to be turned into a Ukraine-looking wasteland, they will instead force Romanians to endure a government wedded to them (the Globalists), and thus force Trump to have to deal with him and hopefully, for them, he slows Trump down.
But it likely won’t work, since Romania is now on Trump’s radar and the reaction from Trump and his people now becomes MORE LIKELY that Trump will simply pull out of NATO, and Europe.
