Flatbush McDonald’s enforces age restriction notice, leaving customers with questions

A McDonald’s in Flatbush is now requiring customers under the age of 20 to be accompanied by a parent, a policy that has left some in the community surprised and frustrated.

A sign posted on the door of the Nostrand Avenue location states the new rule, but McDonald’s has not yet provided an explanation for the change. The fast-food spot is a go-to for students from nearby schools, but some say the area has also had its challenges.

According to the NYPD, police have been called to the location 29 times this year. Some residents believe security measures should be strengthened, rather than limiting access for young people.

“The best way to deter crime is show enforcement, not come in with your Mommy,” said Crown Heights resident Leon Joseph.

News 12 reached out to McDonald’s for clarification on the policy but has yet to receive a response.

Maybe mommy and daddy - if there is a daddy - should teach their children to have manners, show respect for those who work in service industry jobs, and behave themselves when out in public, mommy or daddy - if there is a daddy - would not have to escort them when outside.

“Some residents believe security measures should be strengthened, rather than limiting access for young people.”

I’m sure those are the parents who believe that - and not good parents, at that.

It’s very easy to let it be someone else’s problem to pay for security and deal with all the hassle that goes with it...instead of dealing with the REAL problem - the lowlifes you raised.

No explanation needed. Your “kids” are uncouth monsters.

Is it them again?

Funny, I’m over a thousand miles away and I figured out the reason for the change.

Problem is pretty darn obvious.
Cops can’t deal with underage Minorities
misbehaving without facing
Racial lawsuits, so they don’t bother.
Business can’t control the out of control.
But they want to stay in business.

So that is a good rule.
Most parents keep their kids under control
when they are together.

Considering what age some kids are allowed to be *students* at school, I can see that.

They probably have a real problem with the local high school at lunch time.

The problem is:
It’s NOT OUR guns,
It’s YOUR SONS.

Take the Gallagher approach to security.

"I don't worry about being on a plane that will be hijacked. I don't travel TWA - Travel With Arabs. I fly DELTA - Don't Even Let Them Aboard".

Why not? The brats are on their parent’s health insurance until 27 years old. Probably the cell phone plan too.
