House Oversight Committee Democrats are panicking over comments President Donald Trump made Friday about reforming the U.S. Postal Service.
While Trump has not established a specific plan, he criticized the Postal Service and talked about how it might be improved upon during the swearing in of Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.
“We want to have a post office that works well and doesn’t lose massive amounts of money, and we’re thinking about doing that,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. “And it will be a form of a merger, but it’ll remain the Postal Service, and I think it’ll operate a lot better than it has been over the years.
“It’s been just a tremendous loser for this country, tremendous amounts of money they’ve lost,” he added. “And we think we can do something that will be very good and keep it a very similar way, but whether it’s a merger or just using some of the very talented people that we have elsewhere so it doesn’t lose so much.”

Wanna change the postal service? Fine, pass a law. But to unilaterally remove it from being an independent agency (by statute) and ruled by a bi-partisan board of governors into the commerce department via an executive order is crossing a line that I believe the courts will strike down.
Of course they’re panicking. USPS was very complicit in the 2020 election steal. And I have no doubt they mess with mail if it’s obviously conservative, e.g., don’t deliver it.

I can happily report that the carriers that I've had were honest and trustworthy. It's not about them.
I'm thinking that compromised carriers, in critical districts, that just might have a pretty good idea who among their service area votes Dem or GOP; and, if somehow inclined toward inverse ballot stuffing, might just deposit mail-in ballots from GOP residences into Mister Dumpster.
A scrupulously monitored system of ballot security, including USPS security is absolutely in order.
The U.S. Postal Service is a key component in massive voter fraud. I’m sure this move is about ending that crap.
Accomplish a study on the demographics and hiring selection of the USPS and it will tell one all one needs to know about why it is bloated and inefficient.
Yes, it would be nice to have a postal service that would actually deliver all the ballots that are mailed.
Send a team of IRS agents to do an audit the USPS’s financials.
