President Trump wants to work with Putin to end the war even though Zelensky, as the nominal head of what is arguably the most corrupt government on the face of the earth, wants to keep it going.

Putin can stop the war at any time. If Ukraine stops, they lose their country.

Yes, Norway above the Arctic Circle, and the Kaliningrad enclave. Not adjacent to the Russian heartland like Ukraine. Not the same thing at all.

Poland only borders Russia at Kaliningrad. It does border Belarus, though, which is why any agreement has to encompass the future status of Belarus.
