AFP — UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will meet US President Donald Trump in Washington next week to discuss a “wide range of issues”, a British government spokesperson confirmed on Monday.
Starmer is seeking to foster ties with Trump in a delicate balancing act of maintaining good relations with both the new US administration and the European Union, which Britain left five years ago.
He is also hoping the UK can act as a bridge between Europe and the United States over the war in Ukraine, stressing that Britain could have “a unique role” in helping to secure any ceasefire in Ukraine.

I do so hope. I was in Britain (not Great anymore btw) last fall. Looking like 1984 to me. That needs changed and Starmer is part of the problem.
I was just going to ask, is Trump going to try to talk some sense into that dude?
Someone needs to remind Starmer that the main motivation behind John Wycliffe translating the Bible to English was that he was impressed with Christian groups who stood true to their faith because they had the Bible translated in their native tongue. The main problem those Christians had was the huge oppression they faced by the Muslims.
