650 is 2 br and 1 bath. Not bad at all. That’s the size of old military houses and today’s apartments.

My 90-year-old mother-in-law is almost completely blind. The roof of her house was destroyed in the hurricane. FEMA kept promising her a place to stay, but nothing ever happened. Finally, someone arranged for her to stay in an extended-stay room. She moved in on 12/31. There was no heat, so her daughter got some large space heaters.

We offered for her to move in with us, but she didn’t want to move far from her house that’s going to be worked on.

That is so awful to hear. Our elderly especially deserve better than that. I hope things will move faster for the victims now that Trump is there to unclog the assistance pipeline and stop FEMA funds from going to leftist pet projects.

My niece was stranded for a week near Asheville—no fresh water, no power, and few provisions. Luckily her fiance and his father were able to hike into her area and bring her out. She stayed in Georgia for a month before moving back as her college was reopening and she could once again access the road to her home.

I’d like to know the name of the person who ordered little to no assistance to Helene victims. Someone gave the order. That person should be named.
