McConnell's Reelection Committee holds $8 million. He can direct this to any candidate if he chooses not to run in 26. McConnell may have become irrelevant but his $8 million to back a candidate are very much relevant.
I’d prefer to see Barr, but that risks his house seat going Blue. Cameron would be good, but since Mitch ham strung him for governor, he might not win...especially if Beshear runs for senator.
Regardless of Mitch’s replacement, if Beshear runs he will win easily. There’s no one in Kentucky that can beat Beshear. If Beshear runs for President, Kentucky likely will go blue.
Andy Bashear did not come out of nowhere! His scum Daddy was the Governor of Kentucky before Bevins. Andy cheated his way into the governor’s mansion. He was Attorney General and caused the polls in the two Democrat strongholds to stay open hours later. He won by 5,000 votes that he managed to acquire in those hours.
Oh...that is an interesting scenario...
I mean that he is a sleeper people did not pay attention to for being on the Dem bench for 2028. Potentially a huge mistake.
Beshear already announced he is not running for the Senate seat - his sights are clearly on running for President.
How will he win over the base that is far-left?
Beshear is a straight white guy from a red state.
In a notable event, Karl Rove was fired from the 1992 Bush campaign for planting a negative story about Mosbacher with the columnist Robert Novak.[7]
