References to transgender people were removed Thursday from a National Park Service website for the Stonewall National Monument, a park and visitor center in New York that commemorates a 1969 riot that became a pivotal moment for the LGBTQ+ rights movement.

A gay bar is a national monument?

Very unfortunately, yes.

In 1969 there WAS NO tranny movement.

I really like the jams and jellies from the company named "Stonewall Kitchens." But, every time I see the name, I remember it's a gay-owned company. Ugh. But Grok explains...
The company name "Stonewall Kitchens" derives from a literal stone wall that was visible from the kitchen window of the founders, Jonathan King and Jim Stott's Cape Cod beach house. In 1991, when they were hastily coming up with a name for their new business just before a farmers market application deadline, they noticed this stone wall during a snowy day. The sight inspired them to name their company "Stonewall Kitchen," which they thought would make a great graphic.

This choice was not related to the Stonewall Riots of 1969, despite assumptions due to the company being gay-owned. Instead, it was a simple, visual inspiration from their immediate environment.

But Grok is full of crap here. Jonathan King and Jim Stott are a gay couple living together on Cape Cod. Sure, the company name was just an innocent coincidence. Right.

Ridiculous, isn't it? A national monument to drug addled trannys swinging their purses and flipping their wigs. After President Trump is declared President for Life, that will all change.

I propose erasing that monument to depravity, and redicating it as The Bowery Boys National Monument. It will enshrine the memory of Leo Gorcey, Huntz Hall, and all the fellas who made "Louie's Sweet Shop" their second home.

Why would they name it after a bar owned by the mob?

Their products are wonderful. They used to have a honey tarragon mustard that was phenomenal and their jams and jellies are great.

If you are ever driving up the coast of Maine, right when you cross the state line take (I think) the first exit off Rte. 1 and visit their store. Beautiful gardens, wonderful sandwiches, loads of free samples and lots of very tasteful things. In warm weather get a sandwich and eat outside in their garden. It’s a treat.

Thanks for the tip, LJ! We are thinking about a New England tour this fall. It's been a long time since we've visited New England.

If you are ever in the Spokane, WA area, head north to Green Bluff. The area is packed with local growers and wonderful little shops and local produce restaurants with delightful outdoor seating. Green Bluff has been the home to family farms since 1902 and 30 family farms now operate there.

I saw a video on Youtube showing a mob of pansies toppling the statue of Christopher Columbus in Minneapolis.

Turnabout is fair play. They destroy one of ours, we destroy 2 of theirs.

It’s a start, but I would rather they just remove the monument.

That is hilarious when you think about it. ROTFLMAO. Schumer and Pressley’s D.A.W.G.S. are out there howling that there is not any “evidence” of fraud, waste and abuse.

I think in 1969 the only well-known "tranny" was "Christine" Jorgensen, born George Jorgensen.

That's not counting Tiresias from Greek mythology (born male, turned into a woman, then back into a man, but no surgery involved), who may or may not have existed.

Take a little trip back with father Tiresias
Listen to the old one speak of all he has lived through
I have crossed between the poles, for me there’s no mystery
Once a man, like the sea I raged
Once a woman, like the earth I gave
But there is in fact more earth than sea

There were no trannies at the time, other than cross dressers.
