Chernobyl CNN — A Russian drone struck the destroyed nuclear power plant at Chernobyl in an attack overnight into Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.
The strike hit the concrete shelter that covers the plant’s destroyed former fourth power unit, sparking a fire that was later extinguished, he said.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UN’s nuclear watchdog, said that its team at the site heard a large explosion shortly before 2 a.m. local time Friday (7 p.m. ET Thursday).

What Trump is doing much more than Ukraine. He will do a comprehensive deal with Putin on Ukraine, Iran/Israel, NATO’s demise and the lifting of all sanctions. Z is the only thing gumming up the works. Why Z’s not safe in London or Miami blowing his billion bucks, I have no idea. He’d best leave Kiev or someone is going to give him his comeuppance there.

Great point about the Green Goblin - he’s nothing but a roadblock at this point and won’t even allow a fair election, as he’s jailing the people who might be able to defeat him (he’s almost as bad as the USA had been). As long as he stays in power, I cannot foresee him being at the table when the ADULTS meet to hammer out a new security architecture for Europe and the Middle East.
I think his best bet is the UK, but regardless of where he ends up, he will always have to look over his shoulder for Russian hit-men as Trump will very likely put an end to the USAID-sponsored media covering up his war crimes.
