During an animated town hall meeting on Wednesday, the 68-year-old was questioned on the petition which has garnered roughly 950 signatures.
In a recording reviewed by Reuters, Dimon said: 'Don’t waste time on it. I don’t care how many people sign that f****** petition.'
Employees at the largest bank in the country have been complaining on internal message boards and chats about losing their hybrid working arrangements.
Dimon demanded more efficiency and stressed that employees have a choice on whether they continue to work at JPMorgan.
He told them not to be mad at him about the rolling back of remote working policies, telling employees it was a free country.
Dimon said that staff had not been paying attention during Zoom meetings, which was reducing efficiency and creativity.
He also said that in-office requirements would not be left up to managers, adding: 'There is no chance that I will leave it up to managers. Zero chance. The abuse that took place is extraordinary.'
JPMorgan's profits surged to a record in 2024, and its share price roughly doubled in the past five years.
The strong performance prompted some workers to question why they needed to spend more time in the office.

JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon slammed workers who petitioned to halt the financial giant's newly initiated five-day return-to-office policy.
They are mad because they all have second full time work from home jobs and gigs. Going to the office kills that.
What does it say about these CEO’s who are only now speaking out?
There is an entire generation that thinks a Change.org petition makes constitutional law.
These people have no clue. Reality is going to be a harsh wake up call for these entitled children.
Going to guess it’s millennials that are pitching a tantrum. Work ethic sucks with millennials, and I speak for the generation because I am one!
The top 10% of workers can game the system and get away with it—wherever they work.
The rest have to do as ordered.

True story: My computer genius nephew worked at a high tech firm on the night shift. It took him one week to figure out how to do all the work in the shift and eventually he convinced management to let him handle the night shift alone. They were thrilled—saved money.
When he entered the building he loaded in his special software program he had invented. It automatically did all the tasks for the night, ringing an alarm if there was a genuine emergency it could not handle.
Then he slept for the rest of the night.
The next morning he worked on his real job—real estate development.
Lol.
There’s no way I would work for JP Morgan for this reason. That’s the beauty of the market. They insist on coming into the office. I insist on being 100% remote. They won’t hire me and I wouldn’t work for them if they wanted to hire me.
If I were a JP Morgan employee, I’d look to leave and go to another bank. Others are not nearly as dogmatic about trying to force people to come into the office.
Work!!!

“Going to guess it’s millennials that are pitching a tantrum. Work ethic sucks with millennials, ...”
May be the bulk are millennials but many are Boomer II’s with some Gen X’s spread about. This I know from personal observation. Texas needs a fully functional DOGE especially throughout the education system.
I’ve never had a job where I could work from home 100%.
I was required to work on remote sites or needed a Lab with really expensive equipment. I’m a really independent sort of guy
One thing I do know is you need to interact face to face,
or you lose cohesion. Lack of personal cohesion makes
a workforce less effective.
I took fellow workers sailing on my boat, I went to their parties. We ate lunch together.
When things didn’t work so well we all had a bond.
You can’t get that over a internet connection.
JPMorgan Chase CEO James Dimon wants to force employees to prop up the real estate investments, nothing more. They’re pawns who are supposed to spend money at tenant stores in buildings financed by JPMorgan Chase.
His employees are too stupid to realize that.
He shouldn't waste his time.
RIF.
teleworkers can burn in hell. What they got away with during covid is extremely disgraceful.
It’s up to you, and it’s up to them. They either want a job or they don’t want a job.
They can always quit. When my boss tells me to do something, I do it. I don’t whine about it.
Dimon has to take this position because he is personally responsible for the bank spending billions (literally) on a huge new headquarters building that is about to open. This monument to himself is questionable enough given the state of New York City and its commercial real estate market, but he will appear to be a massive clown were it allowed to sit empty.
Dimon will be stuck with the collection of lames dumb enough and untalented enough to have to remain.
