House Republicans on Wednesday released a blueprint they intend to use to advance President Trump’s legislative agenda, breaking through an impasse that had stymied the conference for days. The rollout of the budget resolution comes one day before the House Budget Committee is scheduled to debate and advance the resolution, the first step in the budget reconciliation process. The panel is set to consider the measure Thursday at 10 a.m. EST.

Good. EOs can be instantly overturned. Legislation is a bit harder to overturn.

How much do you want to bet?....

Now that the R’s control the House, the Senate, the WH and the SCOTUS....they will STILL say they need to pass liberal/big government budgets in order to get enough D support and to prevent a government shutdown.

Because everybody knows that if the government EVER shuts down, it’s ALWAYS the Republican’s fault.

This is all kabuki theater.

“Now that the R’s control ... and the SCOTUS”
Um, I don’t think so.
We may have a more or less rational majority in SCOTUS, but implying that we control it is bad form at the least.

Read the article, if you can get through it.

This is more “over 10 years” crap. They quote numbers that are 10 yr numbers and never mention that dividing them by 10 for each year is not how it will work. They will do nothing 0-4 and then hope it is all forgotten in year 5.

They also bury in the text that they will have to increase the debt ceiling by about $5T, and that’s not over 10 years.
That’s the next 2 or 3.

This is a ‘ Big Effin Deal’ (to quote someone)

In my area a local hospital was absorbed by another company. It had facilities all over the area. I was and still am amazed at how the old name, which had been around for the better part of a century, just disappeared.

Reminds me of the someone you quote. Except for his signing a ‘talent’ deal, it’s as if he has vanished from the face of the earth.

This is way premature. The DOGE study & audit work has yet to be completed to see where we are even at with the numbers yet. Looks more like congress creatures making noises to claim they are doing something too.

...Congress can also prohibit the Judiciary from ruling on any law without their first approving the court action.

Pelosi and Zero pulled this a lot with the requirement of “Standing” being demonstrated BEFORE any court action could begin.

No standing, it’s thrown out of court.

Reconciliation can’t be filibustered by Sen Dems. They used it to pass junk like Obamacare.
