Ukraine will enter into peace talks with President Putin as long as the U.S. and Europe give “more security guarantees” not to “abandon” the country in future, its President says.
President Volodymyr Zelensky told an interviewer he would agree to sit down to “any form of discussion” with Russia as long as his international partners first guaranteed their long-term support to deter future Russian aggression. This would be essential to prevent the Ukraine war simply becoming a frozen conflict that Russia could re-start when convenient to Moscow in the future, as it had been between 2014-2022, he said.
Speaking to Britain’s ITV, Zelensky emphasised the importance of support from Ukraine’s underwriters, saying more than the country needing to not lose the nations that support it now, and that those backers need to come forward with new promises. “We really wish our Western partners had the strength to force Putin to end the war”, he said, while asserting the opportunity to end the way existed, particularly with the arrival of President Trump.

The US is about four percent of the world's population. Why should we be the ones to lead this. The EU has a population larger than the US, so let Ursula von der Leyen lead the negotiations.... Or maybe India....

Well gee zelenski, why don’t we just give you the keys to our Federal reserve? You have some nerve setting the terms of of an agreement when it was your nation that was severely underfunded, undermanned, and in Dire need of outside help to fight a war you could never have won on your own. Our nation bent over backwards to help you, and now you demand we pay you in peacetime as well? Go pound sand!

The USA does have the strength, we just don’t want to.
How cute! Zelensky thinks he’s part of the peace talks.
Exclude Zelensky from the talks, let him know that he is not relevant to the outcome.
At this point, that’s the reality.
His demand for NATO membership or nukes last week eliminated him as a serious contender in the move towards peace.
Neither of these options was or is going to happen.
Without US support the EU will drop out, and without this support Zelensky is out of options, and everybody knows this.
Talk to Putin, find out what it will take to stop the killing.
Game over, bye bye Zelensky.
He can go back to his previous comedy gig of playing the piano with his penis.
