“Is he returning the 500,000 already paid to him ?”

He hasn’t been paid, already.

Hey, the head of the LA Water Department makes $750,000 per year— so this is no big deal in California.

Richard Grenell

@RichardGrenell
He’s getting paid $500,000 for 3 months of work? And they call this a charity.

Gross. Offensive.

I’m getting paid $0 - as are many people.

It’s a good thing there will be strings on the Federal money for California.

Light shining.

But they think the issue is the money? The salary? by making it look like zero money, will that change things?

Soboroff told Breitbart News last month that a process to select an “owner’s rep” for the rebuilding process would be competitive. Mayor Karen Bass selected a consulting firm after secret meetings with three firms behind closed doors.

Soboroff’s original salary, which would have been funded entirely by charitable organizations, was first reported by The Times early Saturday morning. Soboroff had defended the arrangement, saying his expertise made him worth the price.

interesting sales technique. He is an expert.

Billions about to flood into a one-party state for disaster recovery - that has to look like a fat lamb in front of hungry bureaucratic wolves. Apparently it isn’t a part of Our Democracy (tm) to allow actual displaced residents into the decision processes. The Powers That Be aren’t welcoming them back anyway.

The mayor’s team declined to name the charitable organizations that would have covered Soboroff’s salary. It is not clear how those organizations raised the money or what else it might have been earmarked for.

Now wouldn’t most charitable organizations be proud of their community service and publicly announce this to leverage for more money for the good cause?

Love your Bass as “employee of the year.”

Betcha she really thinks so, too, entitled black dummy.

She’s the most unqualified bozo they got
over there, though Newsom is a close second.

There ARE normal people in CA. They are like baby pigeons- we never see them or hear from them, but we know they exist.

And damn...I feel bad for them.
