Georgia Asks AG Bondi to Drop Biden Admin Lawsuit Over Election Law

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has asked the U.S. attorney general to drop the federal lawsuit against the state’s election-reform law, litigation that commenced during the Biden administration.

In Raffensperger’s letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, sent late Wednesday, Georgia’s secretary of state said that voting in the state increased to record levels after the law passed.

Senate Bill 202, which Raffensperger advocated for and Gov. Brian Kemp signed in 2021, expands voter ID requirements to mail-in voting, puts restrictions on ballot harvesting, and codifies ballot drop boxes.

Democrats routinely called the Georgia law “Jim Crow 2.0,” while President Joe Biden dubbed it “Jim Eagle.” Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, who leads the liberal political action committee Fair Fight Action, also opposed the legislation.

“The Biden administration and Stacey Abrams created a false narrative regarding Georgia’s elections,” Raffensperger said in a public statement. “The DOJ should never be leveraged for political purposes, and I hope Attorney General Bondi will join us in ending this frivolous lawsuit against the state of Georgia, and release documents exposing the coordination between the Biden DOJ and the liberal left.”

Pam has a lot of catching up to do, and has a lot of i’s to dot and t’s to cross to make everything stick. I expect this is already on the list, but if not, it needs to be.

Then she needs to go after the Soros lawfare DAs.

Who do you mean? The guy Trump publicly reconciled with? We have bigger fish to fry than go after allies. Even if they’re reluctant allies

No!!

The democrat playbook is for the DoJ to enter into a consent decree whereby the State will promise to do certain things for specified time frame. This should be OUR time to implement voter ID - including for mailed ballots, limiting the election period to 10 days before, and anything else that advances election security. Otherwise, a subsequent democrat DoJ could refuse the complaint.

Not only that, but also mandate that the proportion of Republican poll watchers should be ~70+%, as correction of the mere handful of Republican poll watchers that Georgia allowed (in Atlanta ?) in 2024.
