Like term limits this too will be rabidly fought by deep state.
I moved from Oregon (no sales tax) to Idaho (6% sales tax). I thought that would bother me, but it really hasn’t. Now I’d prefer just sales tax, & get rid of both income & property taxes.
I hope taxpayers are hearing about the tremendous waste of our dollars & are ready to do something about it. But first we need to do something about Vote Fraud. Elon & his team need to look into that, too.

Actually, the vote cheating needs to be the No. 1 concern. As long as it continues, it won’t matter what Musk uncovers.
I just saw a video clip on Instagram, that Elon Musk is spending $40 MM of his own money, on Super Bowl ads, to show the level of fraud that DOGR has uncovered so far.

Oregon (D)emonic is trying to provide us with a statewide property tax and increased gas tax.
Sales tax is great for the young and workers. Income tax is great for the elderly and others on a fixed, low income.

As I understand it, Vivek is no longer part of the DOGE effort.
Their first cut was to eliminate 50% of the DOGE leadership staff.
No tax is “great”.
A concern I now have about DOGE uncovering all this slimey muck, what are the Republicans going to do about it? Will there be big, beautiful spending cuts? I’m not talking about slowing growth rates. Actual reductions are needed.
The reality is that states raise revenue via taxes—and some are much more advantageous for people in specific situations than are others. That makes some tax approaches “great”, for some people, relative to others.

Trump 1st term tax cuts expired this year. DOGE “cuts” are needed by congress to extend the cuts.

Does anyone know offhand, how much the IRS collects in income taxes every year? I couldn’t get a straight answer from google on this.
