Senate moves ahead on Pam Bondi attorney general nomination
Roll Call ^ | Feb 3 | By Ryan Tarinelli

Pam Bondi is one step closer to becoming the next attorney general after her nomination cleared a procedural hurdle Monday.

Senators voted 52-46 along party lines to approve a motion to invoke cloture on her nomination.

Bondi, a former Florida attorney general and an ardent Donald Trump supporter, has received vocal support from Senate Republicans through her confirmation process.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Charles E. Grassley, R-Iowa, pointed to her background in Florida where she “fought against pill mills, eliminated the backlog of rape test kits and stood for law and order.”

“There’s no doubt that Ms. Bondi’s highly qualified,” Grassley said. “She’s capable of doing the job well and she represents mainstream views shared by at least the 77 million Americans who voted for change in the 2024 election.”

As soon as she’s confirmed do the special prosecutors start being named?

The deputy AG has been a thorn in the sides of the DEMs and the deep state so far. They might be a bit relieve to have Bondi confirmed.

The AG is the most important cabinet position to address the systemic voting fraud in recent U.S. elections. Confirming Blondi Bondi is YUGE!

But it wont matter in the end

Mitch will be 83 in a couple of weeks and still has 2 years left on his term while Kentucky has a Democrat governor.

But at least their state GOP critters anticipated and addressed the possible problem with that:

That is going to be challenged by their governor he says it contravenes the 17th Amendment and his authority

I dont know what the latest is but I remember Bashear (sp) saying he will challenge it if necessary so it’s not clear just yet even though before the 17th it was up to the legislatures...

If she is following President Trump’s pattern, she already has special prosecutors picked and targets assigned. I hope she turns them loose within minutes of being confirmed.

The Dem Senator from Vermont is now speaking in opposition to the nomination.

He literally just declared that Democrats have accepted the results of prior elections, including the 2000 election. He declared the Democrats acknowledged they lost those elections, unlike Republicans in 2020.

I kid you not - he just said that with a straight face on the floor of the Senate.

Here’s a 20 minute montage of Democrats “accepting” the results of the 2016, 2018, 2004, and 2000 election results:
