President Trump says he agreed to “immediately pause” tariffs on Mexico for a month after a “very friendly” conversation with the country’s president Claudia Sheinbaum.

“I just spoke with President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico. It was a very friendly conversation wherein she agreed to immediately supply 10,000 Mexican Soldiers on the Border separating Mexico and the United States,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“These soldiers will be specifically designated to stop the flow of fentanyl, and illegal migrants into our Country,” he wrote. “We further agreed to immediately pause the anticipated tariffs for a one month period during which we will have negotiations headed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Treasury Scott Bessent, and Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and high-level Representatives of Mexico. I look forward to participating in those negotiations, with President Sheinbaum, as we attempt to achieve a “deal” between our two Countries,” the president went on.

Trump is doing nothing less than attempting his own “regime change” operations - particularly in Canada, which is absolutely controlled by WEF marxists and globalists.

The “economic benefits” of tariffs are very much secondary.

It’s a negotiation. The tariff announcement was the opening gambit. Deals will be hashed out behind closed doors. And Trump has a way of letting the people he negotiates with “save face” in the end while he gets most of what he wanted in the first place.

I know very little about the Mexican military—my only concern is whether or not they’re able to function without corruption or intimidation by cartels...would some mid-level soldier, heck even a general—maintain the goal of the mission? Will they do so if they, or family members are threatened?

Need to give demands to Canada that require parliamentary action for response. Something easy things they must pass, of which Canadians would approve. Because then we, and the Canadian conservative opposition (which is currently stuck for domestic audiences lamenting 'Trump actions against Canada,' could switch to blaming Trudeau who 'prorogued' (suspended) parliament and who alone can bring it back to end Trump's complaints.

Purely incidental to that is that the first action a returning parliament would take would be a no confidence vote leading to prompt elections and the end of TruDope (and our problems with Canada.) Whereas without external Trumpian pressure TruDope can try to reign without parliament until next fall.
