Immediately following Trump's tariff announcement, the value of both the Canadian dollar and the Mexican peso are in freefall.
Don’t mess with the United States of America.

States 51 and 52?
Trump and our enormous market have the leverage.
Mexico & Canada have a pair of 10’s against a Royal Flush.
Probably a good time to start buying Canadian dollars, as this will only last as long as Fidel’s son is in power.
America’s days as a punching bag are over.
“States 51 and 52?”
Do we really need another Kalifornia and snotty/commie NE New England? Leave them to their own misery.
It’s time the Mexicans have another rebellion. Maybe this time it will work out for the peons. A good government shakeup for the Cannucks would be a good thing. The middle provinces could become new US states while the coastal provinces can have all the communism they want.
After we get rid of the cartels Mexico can be New Florida. A vacation destination for all of America.
They would be welfare queen states.
No. Best to let Canada and Mexico take care of their own business. Mexico will take the longest. They have to get control of the drug cartels that own them then kick China out of their country. That could take generations.
Think territories. Exploitable territories.
Trump knew this would happen.
Quebec would declare independence and no one would care. We could take the Maritime provinces. The western ones are pretty conservative. Leave Ottawa out to dry.
You’re right.
This morning on Fox there was a report that a politician from British Columbia wanted to boycott American Liquor.
Someone said that the biggest boozers in Canada are from BC so that boycott wouldn’t work out. Lol.
1.5% and 2.5% is not freefall ...
Trust in Trump! 🇺🇲
States 51 and 52?
><
Hell NO!
“States 51 and 52?”
What us with you guys wanting more commies affecting our politics?
I like it!
Heck, there are states I’d like to get rid of.
FAFO diplomacy
I have unsuccessfully tried to find a chart of the dollar/loonie exchange rates over a 40 year period.
I recall in HS (late 60s) that it was worth 80¢ -85¢. but it would be instructive to see a 40 year graph.
When my wife was in high school they would go over the bridge from MI to buy gas and go to the movies at that exchange rate. AND Canada was still using the Imperial gallon, making gas unbelieveably cheap for Americans.
