The FBI, part of DoJ, is under the CABINET under the EXECUTIVE.
The President has given him a lawful order for release of data.
he has refused.
Insubordination calls for immediate removal.
I recommend being hauled out by his heels, incisors dragged on the asphalt parking lot, curb-stomped for “resisting,” and thrown into the drunk tank for 24 hours. US Marshalls would do just fine here.
Maybe even have NewsMax and/or OAN camera crews on hand in advance.
Nothing the dementiacrats would do differently.
