You better think like me or you can’t have this job. She was very bold in that hearing. They tried to bully her into saying a specific thing to get their vote and she wouldn’t bend. Her character is impeccable because the pressure was immense. I wasn’t sure about her nomination but it’s absolutely clear why Trump picked her and she is 100% qualified. The Senators have a litmus test about calling Snowden a traitor for their support. Remember when everyone said the President couldn’t ask about abortion. This hearing made all those senators look like bullies and pathetically shallow. If she is not confirmed I wouldn’t trust a single piece of intel that comes from anyone who would be confirmed by those fools.

Snowden was a hero. He decided not to go the internal whistleblower route when he saw what happened to Binney and Drake.
With Drake he went to NSA IG. They told him he needed to go to DID IG. So he did. They listened to all he said, then notified NSA that he was a problem and here comes the FBI kicking in his door.

Hopefully he had a nice day today, wherever he is.

One of the problems I have with the line of questioning involving Snowden was, at the time, the revelation that there was NO way for Snowden to "go through channels" to whistleblow the situation. His only choice was to expose the issue publicly. Given how the Democrats have pressed hard for other candidates to honor and protect whistleblowers, it's a little disingenuous for them to take the opposite tack on Snowden.

"Snowden broke the law."
