A federal judge, U.S. District Judge John Coughenour, a appointee of former President Ronald Reagan, has blocked Trump's executive order on birthright citizenship from taking effect.
s the debate over birthright citizenship rages on, the Center for Immigration Studies released data showing there were between 225,000 to 250,000 births to illegal immigrants in 2023.
The organization said that figure is close to 7% of total births in the U.S. that year.
CIS said it plans to "revise these numbers as we obtain more data" but the group does not expect a "very large upward revision in this 2023 estimate" since the CDC has recorded a "fairly steady number of births in the U.S. during this decade."
Upon taking office on Monday, President Trump signed an executive order banning birthright citizenship.

In eighteen years they’ll be voting.
AND DEMANDING COLLEGE EDUCATIONS FOR PENNIES.
They’ll not only be voting - but able to sponsor their illegal family members for citizenship - and bring over 90 of their closest relatives under “family reunification” straight onto the American welfare system.
Entire villages are cleared out this way.
Four years of Biden to pump them out!
This is finally going to go to the Supreme Court. No other president has had the guts to challenge the faulty reasoning of the “every person born in the United States is anAmerican” interpretation of the 14th amendment. Well, Trump has thrown down the gauntlet. I am sure that he was told and understands quite well that this would be challenged immediately. Fine, that’s how issues of law are decided, when there is an actual case or controversy. Well, now we have one. This can only be decided in the Supreme Court, and I am sure that the Department of Justice will insist on the most rapid decision possible, as this is a matter of grave and immediateconcern for both the nation and for those people born here to illegal aliens.

Leadership in action wimps weep.
all these women trying to take advantage of US system will owe some thing at some point.
Trump’s ban starting Jan 20, 2025 is a start but really not enough.
I really would like to see someone with the numbers, put it out there how the charities and other non profits (funded by govt or at least having gotten tax breaks which is a govt perk) have invited, supported their trips, brought them here. Which has caused more harm and drain etc etc..
print it in papers, online etc Trump should blast around this info. The left can whine but it’ll all be out there with names of orgs or people doing it.
” and bring over 90 of their closest relatives under “family reunification” straight onto the American welfare system “
And we all know where that leads by looking at present day South Africa: wealth confiscation will become land confiscation.
Which was the plan all along.
It’s substantially more than 250,000. Not all hospitals are reporting their numbers, especially the hospitals that are feeding off the money they get paid to deliver them.
If parents enter a country illegally, the kids don't get citizenship that the parents never had.
Almost immediately after Donald Trump was sworn in on January 20, the second-term president issued a series of executive orders, including one touching on birthright citizenship — a constitutional provision that guarantees that those born within the boundaries of the United States automatically attain American citizenship. But according to the president’s directive, the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections should not extend to the children of unauthorized immigrants or those in the country on a temporary visa.
