Democrats Confirm Abortion Extremism By Blocking Protections For Babies Born Alive After Botched Abortions

Many of the same senators who voted against the born-alive bill on Wednesday proudly filibustered it in 2020.

Democrats have tried to pretend they are not the party of abortion extremism. Their rhetoric and voting records on common sense and popular protections for women and babies, however, confirm they support ending life up to and even through birth.

The most recent display of this radicalism occurred on Wednesday, the 52nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, when all 47 Democrats in the U.S. Senate voted to block a bill that seeks to criminalize leaving babies born alive during botched abortions to die. The blue party’s unanimous rejection of the legislation hampered Republicans from invoking the 60-vote cloture minimum needed to overcome a filibuster.

The “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act,” reintroduced earlier this month by Republican Sens. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, James Lankford of Oklahoma, and Jim Banks of Indiana, aimed to require healthcare workers who witness a baby’s survival after attempted dismemberment or chemical abortion to immediately rescue and medically treat the child just as they would any other prematurely delivered newborn patient.

Failure to administer an abortion survivor proper aid, the legislation dictated, must be immediately reported to state and federal law enforcement agencies and could result in fines and up to five years imprisonment. Healthcare workers who not only fail to execute professional and proper care, but also actively work to end the life of a baby born alive would be eligible for murder charges and punishment.

Women who undergo failed abortions, on the other hand, would not only be immune to prosecutions, but would also be endowed with the ability to sue healthcare professionals who fail to treat their babies with an adequate standard of survival care.

A majority of Americans are opposed to butchering babies beyond 15 weeks. Yet, leaving babies to die has been a talking point for Democrats for years. In fact, many of the same senators who voted against the born-alive bill on Wednesday proudly filibustered it in 2020, even though polling showed U.S. voters overwhelmingly supported affirming adequate medical treatment for babies despite the circumstances of their birth.

Days before the 2025 vote on the legislation, Democrat senators spent nearly an hour defending the practice of neglecting lifesaving care for babies outside the womb. They claimed such a bill is unnecessary since President George W. Bush signed similar legislation into law in 2002.

Democrats’ corporate media allies have also gone to bat for the blue party by repeatedly insisting that there is “no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after it’s born,” as “ABC News Live Prime” anchor Linsey Davis did during one of the 2024 presidential debates.

Evidence suggests, however, that states such as Minnesota and Virginia have allowed and even advocated for babies born alive during abortions to die without lifesaving interventions under misnomered “comfort care” policies that are not stopped by current federal law.

“The 2024 elections exposed the reality of babies surviving abortions and being left to die without life-saving medical care. Americans reject this inhumanity and they have clearly rejected the extreme pro-abortion agenda,” SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser said in a statement. “We cannot continue to turn a blind eye to that baby fighting for his or her life, whether in a hospital or an abortion center, whether that little one is deemed ‘wanted’ or not. These children must not be discarded like trash.”

Yet, that’s exactly what Democrats have done. Whether it’s through radical abortion ballot measures that ensure the death of babies until they are born or the emphatic defense of letting even babies who are born die without life-saving interventions, Democrats have consistently confirmed they don’t care about America voters’ beliefs about abortion and they certainly don’t care about life.

Same thing happened in the House this afternoon. Trump will sign the bill tomorrow, most likely.

On one side, a man whose heart is with us, so he gets accused of being a nazi. On the other side, a hundred million baby killers, something Nazis loved to do. This will end well, but in between now and then will be hell.

CORRECTION

Delivery & NICU nurses before the “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act” in at our medical center routinely rescued immediately and then medically treated infants born alive from botched abortions.

The nurses refused to let the babies “wiggle themselves to death.” An appointment was made with our Christian hospital administrator to share of our defiance.

Orphanages are not politically supported. Instead, we have a very, very rotten foster care system.

Also. psychiatric hospitals were decreased with psych patients being mainstreamed: increased homeless population

If you freely and openly support or claim yourself a democrat, you are an agent of Satan and your life is forfeit.

Full stop. Period.

If they think terminating live babies is acceptable, do they genuinely care about any other living human? Is their concern for the "people" just an act?

Dems.

Deceit is their middle name.

Dems.

Unbothered by that conscience thingy.

So, after Reading multiple stories about women giving birth then dumping the baby. The mom is rightly so charged.
However, could the women pull the it was “an abortion” and thus it would be illegal to render aid to the infant.

The debate around this law reminded me of the practice by ancient Rome and other societies of the “exposure of infants”. They were abandoned to the elements of weather or predators. Poor people could be rid of extra mouths to feed, and especially those of baby girls who were also a dowry liability. They could also be rid of those with imperfect physical makeup or parentage. This universal practice seems to have resulted from utility and did not have any spiritual significance. Kenneth Scott Latourette in his history of Christianity notes the practice ended where the faith took hold. Now nearly half the people in this country have no problem with a pagan practice going back into pre-history.

A stinking shame that something that has been a practical answer for any “unwanted live baby”. To put them in a medical pan to cry themselves to death is absolutely criminal, especially when we see all the doggie kennels full of puppies waiting to be adopted. Just plain criminal and barbaric.
