To me, it looks like she says “I’ll just sing.”
Some Little People online took a screenshot of her saying “Sing” and she looks peeved.
maybe…more on that in a second. But the screenshot is clearly intended to malign Underwood. Without the video, the observer could get the wrong impression.
It’s important to see the video of her saying ALL those words.
The look on Underwood’s face as she says that sentence isn’t that of a diva - it’s one of American grit, determination, pride, and probably a little bit of anger/“I’ll show that sombich who sabotaged this thing”.
In that short clip of “I’ll just sing”, Underwood demonstrated what it means to be a true American. She also showed more guts than the entire Democrat and RINO establishment.
I saw it live and was very impressed with her just diving in a cappella.
Behind her is Emhoff. How many times has he had that stupid, vacant, dopey expression? Maybe 100.
By the way, the sound technical head who screwed up has been reassigned to oversee the quality control safety division for Boeing passenger flights. (kidding).
Yes, she handled it well.
Honestly, I think it turned out better without the music. Carrie has a beautiful voice, and the acoustics sounded great! The show must go on (and it did)!
She should have said “I am stepping aside now because former President Biden has told me he will sing the song a capela.”(huge applause and cheers)
“Oh, wait. An update. Dr. Jill Biden will accompany him on the kazoo she carries in her purse. Let’s hear some encouragement.”
She is a real professional.
I would gone accapella and the choir joined in anyway making it beautiful.
More beautiful than Pentatonix...
I was wondering why the orchestra wasn’t playing for her performance. Seems like since they had the full band there anyway, they could have scheduled them to back her up instead of a pre-recorded tape.
I wish she sang another verse but she knocked it out of the park.
Iconic already.
That said I thought she did a splendid job with her a cappella performance.
Now the looming question I have: was that just an accident and the equipment went kaput, or was there a leftist gremlin somewhere who threw a wrench into the proceedings?
Worse, Biden was alongside and you could tell he really wanted to have a sniff
“She went on to sing few verses”
One verse.
I saw a podcast this morning that said there’s a rumor going around that after the program she had a “hissy fit” about the sound problem. (true? not true?)
She should be thankful; it was beautiful a cappella and really showcased her voice.
I saw the same comment made online.
I also saw that the doughnut-licking Arianna Grande sort of dissed Underwood.
The MSM is working overtime to slime Underwood.
And yea…one verse. Can’t anyone write OR edit anymore?
I don’t know who Arianna Grande is — but I Googled her name and “donut”. Eeeewwww... (Is she a singer?)
Sort of.
She started out as a child actress on Nickelodeon. Her character was a ditz, just like her.
She moved into singing - some say she was a singer first - and somehow became a star.
Her singing career was party to a tragedy - an Islamic terrorist suicide bombing of the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England, on 22 May 2017, following a concert by Grande. Perpetrated by Islamic extremist Salman Abedi and aided by his brother, Hashem Abedi, the bombing occurred at 22:31 and killed 22 people, injured 1,017, and destroyed the arena’s foyer.
I can’t name one song she’s sung. And the doughnut episode wasn’t just gross but unpatriotic.
But she promptly made it over to POTUS Trump. Good call.
Lol! I had to laugh for I worked in broadcast radio for over 40 years and helped set up sound for numerous concerts with top recording artists, but never had as much trouble as when I sometimes volunteered to run the sound system for our church!
