"The danger that Joe Biden failed to warn about in his speech was the power of government and its abuse," Penn wrote on the social media platform, X.
Aformer top adviser to President Bill Clinton, Mark Penn, slammed President Joe Biden's farewell speech Thursday, saying he didn't warn about the abuse of unchecked government power.
"The danger that Joe Biden failed to warn about in his speech was the power of government and its abuse," Penn wrote on the social media platform, X. "Abuse when government determines what can and cannot be written on social media. Abuse when government gives jobs and money to political friends instead of those most qualified."
Penn said in his social media post that government unchecked power looks like a president pardoning his own son for tax crimes while demanding everyday people pay taxes on time.
Last month, Biden pardoned his son Hunter on gun and tax charges, despite promising not to make such a move.
"Abuse when a president says others should pay taxes while pardoning his own son for failing to pay taxes on millions shaken out of shady global interests," Penn wrote.
