We Were Censored By Meta; We’re Taking Them to the Supreme Court

The headline from Politico’s “Playbook” would have been unthinkable eight years ago: “Meta sends Trump a friend request.”

After all, Meta’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, is a political lightning rod in conservative political circles, especially after the $300 million worth of “Zuckerbucks” spent during the 2020 election to elect like-minded politicians.

Yet lately, Zuckerberg has been singing a much different tune. He referred to President-elect Trump as “badass,” visited him at Mar-a-Lago, and donated one million dollars to his inaugural fund. This week, Meta made news by adding Dana White, a longtime Trump ally and head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), to its board of directors.

Then came the real bombshell: Meta ended its so-called “independent fact-checking program,” ostensibly lifting restrictions on speech across Facebook, as well as their other platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp. In doing so, Zuckerberg admitted the current content moderation practices – in place since criticism of his platform during the 2016 presidential election – have “gone too far” and stressed a commitment to “restoring free expression.”

Make no mistake: Meta’s “independent fact-checkers” are neither independent nor fact-based. Their elimination is a positive step and should be encouraged. The announcement came less than 24 hours after the organization I lead – the nonprofit Children’s Health Defense – asked the U.S. Supreme Court to hear our censorship lawsuit against Meta.

I don't trust Zuckerberg's "change of heart". I hope Trump and his team are wary of him as well. Once under the government's thumb, it is hard to escape.

- I have good impression of Elon Musk for starters. His mom too! And am so grateful he is not a Bill Gates or George Soros. He continues to need our prayers.

- Want to give Zuckerberg benefit of the doubt and pray he and his wife become Christian. (genuinely)

I wouldn’t trust him, either. I think the social media giants have too much influence. It’s a well known fact that Facebook’s architecture tends to create these “echo chambers”. More and more people I talk to are aware of this and use that term. What will happen when more people turn away from social media?

I was one of the few attorneys that during Covid was filing religious exemption claims for nursing students with their universities who were trying to force the students to take a covid shot to complete clinicals. And some were successful. Unless you lived through it, and resisted, you cannot comprehend how seriously repressive our government was.

Once the red pill process starts it’s hard to stop - scales are falling from Zuckerberg’s eyes - they won’t go back.

None of us should. Zuck is just playing the political winds and trying to sweep past misdeeds under the rug. The guy is a snake.

As stalwart, principled CEO’s go, Zuck the Suck makes a great chameleon.
Don’t trust him as far as you can throw him.

Zuck is nothing if not self-protective.

This is the man who censored opinions he and his “fact checkers” didn’t like. How many conservatives were banned and censored on his platform- I know I was.
This is the man who dedicated his company and millions of dollars to influence an election that gave us 4 years of misery under an illegitimate “president”.

Forgive him? Sure. Most of us are Christians, as well.
Forget? Never.

His change of heart is abrupt enough for me to be skeptical of, and since we’re talking about a guy his age with that kind of money, I don’t think my skepticism is at all unhealthy or misplaced.

Unless you lived through it, and resisted, you cannot comprehend how seriously repressive our government was.

Hang on to whatever you can from that time; as Eisenhower told the journalists he brought in to photograph the bodies the Allies uncovered in a concentration camp: "Take pictures now, because in a hundred years they will deny it ever happened."

Zucky is doing this because he’s afraid that Trump is going to slam him into prison for his violation of the First Amendment. He’s not sincere. The biden administration is 1000 times more guilty for forcing the media to violate the First Amendment.

Zuck has a plan.

Lay low and under the radar for four years.

I know Trump hasn’t taken office yet, but I find myself thinking who will lead the America First movement when Trump finishes his term?

Who will keep the Zucks of this world in a box in the next term.

Vance is a weasel and unfit to lead America First.

Using Nazi and Hitler references to characterize Trump is a DISQUALIFIER.

As much animus as I have for EVERY Marxist, I NEVER used a Hitler or Nazi reference.

Maybe jack-booted thugs to describe the Feds, but using Nazi and Hitler references are disrespectful and hurtful to the victims of the Holocaust and their descendants.

It’s the politics of personal destruction and demonization that has been unleashed on Trump.

I don’t want to demonize the Democrats, I want to attack them on the issues which is a winning strategy.

Trump has WON three elections on the issues not calling out his enemies using Nazi and Hitler references.
