McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Border Patrol arrested a former Russian mercenary on Saturday, when he illegally crossed the Rio Grande near Roma.
Timur Praliev waded across the Rio Grande carrying two passports and $4,000.
“The defendant was also in possession of a drone in his backpack when he crossed into the United States,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Amanda McColgan said on Tuesday morning, when Praliev appeared before a judge at the federal courthouse in McAllen. “And he admitted, when interviewed, to being a member of the Wagner Group.”

Ugh.
Headed for the Inauguration on Jan 20th?
To escape the Wagner group or to do something for it?
I figure it is to do something with the drone.
“To escape the Wagner group or to do something for it?”
If he was escaping Wagner group, why carry a drone.
Too bad Homan can’t talk to him yet.
Putin was not invited to Trump’s inauguration.
So, the Russian mercenary tried to enter the U.S. with a drone so he could report back to Putin about the inauguration with a view from the sky. (An innocent stunt. as democrats and Biden and Kamala would put it).
Also who’s paying him?
Just imagine how many have gotten in successfully. Mideast, Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, CHINA. They probably picked him out Becuase he was lighter skinned and stood out.
It amazes me the article calls him a “former” Wagner Group member, but later says he IS a member. He had a lot of cash on him, so I also wonder who is paying him.
Have Delta Force come get him for questioning.
Isn’t a military person wearing civilian gear, not a uniform, considered a spy and worth of a summary court martial and execution? There were some Germans that landed up around New Jersey during WWII that earned that privilege.
Oh Nors!
A Drone!
Oh Noes!
A Drone!
