Russian President Vladimir Putin appears to be preparing to launch an invasion of Ukraine, with more than 100,000 troops positioned around the country. Certainly, the U.S. believes that’s the case and President Joe Biden has warned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that an attack could come in February.

But Russia denies it’s preparing to invade and Putin’s intentions remain a mystery.

This was three years ago today. Later that month (January 28th), Putin said that he would not invade Ukraine. On February 20, the Russian ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, said that Russia had no plans to invade Ukraine.

Four days later Russian invaded Ukraine.

Isn’t that how invasions always work? Lol.

“Hi there! What a nice country you have. We will be invading in a few days.

The vast difference between the hapless Biden and the resolute Trump is perfectly illustrated by your quote.
Biden: no big deal if it’s a minor incursion.
Trump would have quietly told Putin, don’t do it.

One statement to Putin from any sitting U.S. President, that would have stopped Putin cold, would have been: If you think you are concerned about Ukraine joining NATO then be assured that by invading Ukraine you will guarantee that outcome for sure.

Putin has now prepared for that eventuality.

As Vlad is now wrapping up his SMO, all of Senile Joe’s Ukie war followers will start posting anti-Russian garbage, Ghost of Kiev, washing machine chips, shovels, etc…..it is to be expected from an easily deceived bunch.

I can’t wait till President Trump’s intervention yields a rehash of the violated ( by Ukraine) Minsk Agreements….Vlad keeps his ethnic Russian territories, no Nato for the thief Zelensky, and the Ukie Neo Nazi’s disbanded by Ukie Constitutional decreee.

Since the Ukraine (in the Budapest Memorandum) gave up its nuclear weapons in exchange for a guarantee that Russia would not use military force against it, does this mean that Ukraine gets it nuclear weapons back?

And one more time.

Ukraine never had any nuclear weapons. A US submarine with nuclear warheads that docks in Japan does not suddenly define those nuclear weapons as belonging to Japan. Ditto nuclear warheads on bombers that may land in Japan.

They never had nukes. They belonged to Russia and were parked in Ukraine. Only Russia had the launch keys. Only Russia knew the maintenance procedures.

This is just silly and has been since day one.

I wonder if we announced we were going to overthrow Ukraine’s Government by Color Revolution in November 2013?
