cornyn is likely the worst senator for gun rights, having impeded or worked to kill bills which would have advanced gun rights.

Now, as he's up for re-election, he's going to pretend to be pro 2a, and hope people forget about his past...

Well, many in the Texas GOP see through him....

Sen. John Cornyn booed at Texas GOP convention

John Cornyn speaks at Texas GOP convention, and was booed when talking about guns

cornyn needs to be voted out of office

Wow, in no way should Cornyn be trusted.
He’s worse than Romney was.
He is up for re-election in 2026 according Saint Wiki.
Unfortunately I don’t see him getting primaried-out

>> What’s his angle?

He’s sucking up. His ass is in serious trouble in Texas, re-election-wise.

We keep hearing that about Cruz too.

I suspect just like McConnel, Johnny is going nowhere except back to DC.

Yep. Cornyn at election time is all about optics... in reality, Cornyn is a worthless piece of progressive sh!t.

Cornyn was key in the passing of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, which increased background checks for firearms purchases for people under 21 and funded state enforcement of red flag laws..

Not exactly a staunch 2A supporter.

I think Cruz was never really having any challenge from the right, but because some people assume Hispanic in TX will all Democrats so any conservative will lose eventually.

Corryn is different. He is RINO who somehow keeps getting elected

cornyn is likely the worst senator for gun rights, having impeded or worked to kill bills which would have advanced gun rights.

And to think Cornyn received a 100 rating from the NRA in 2020 and the National Shooting Sports Foundation in 2020-2021. In 2023, the Gun Owners of America gave him a 50. If he is the Republican candidate in 2026, I will be voting Libertarian.

I don’t trust Cornholio - there’s got to be something in the bill to stab gun owners in the back.

He will be primaried and, regardless of whether this bill passes and becomes law or not, I will be contributing to and voting for anyone else. Rumor had it that AG Ken Paxton will be running - and I sure hope that this is true.
