Actor James Woods joined the growing chorus of public criticism against Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley for her handling of the out-of-control wildfires in Pacific Palisades and other portions of the county, noting her stated priority of promoting DEI within the department.
James Woods, who said he has evacuated his home, called out Crowley in a series of X posts.
“Refilling the water reservoirs would have been a welcome priority, too, but I guess she had too much on her plate promoting diversity,” the actor wrote.He included a screenshot of Crowley’s bio on the LAFD’s official site that states her priority for “creating, supporting, and promoting a culture of diversity, inclusion, and equity” — or DEI.
Crowley was heralded by the left as the department’s first LGBT and female chief in 2022.

Woods also blasted the left’s knee-jerk attempt to blame California’s persistent wildfires on climate change, noting that the Democrat-controlled state is being mismanaged especially when it comes to water reservoirs.

But you have to admit their technique must work. SoCal’s sea waters haven’t had a real good sea conflagration for more than a month.
How does blaming “climate change” excuse the powers that be from preparing for the obvious effects of such?

When your workforce is 97% male and requires intense physical labor, your first priority shouldn’t be a female leader.
If, on the other hand, you believe that the cause of the lack of female representation is cultural, not physical, choosing a Lesbian is not how you fix that culture.
Butch women don’t lack any “toxic masculinity,” to the limited extent that that’s a real thing, but instead reinforce any stereotypes about the incompatibility of femininity and the workforce, if indeed there is any merely cultural causes for that incompatibility.
If someone’s LGBTQ status is a defining trait, her ascent probably has almost nothing to do with the concerns of her workforce, and could even create an antagonism based not on discrimination against them, but on their political activism being unhelpful to their workforce.
Q: Is there an issue with helicopter availability for firefighting in LA...?
