Vice President-elect JD Vance underwent a “long-planned” minor surgery Friday after appearing at the Capitol earlier in the day for the Senate’s swearing-in ceremony.
“The Vice President-elect is having long-planned, minor sinus surgery and will be back at work tomorrow,” his spokesperson William Martin told Fox News.
The surgery reportedly took place at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.
The Trump transition team did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
The medical procedure comes with less than three weeks to go before Vance is sworn-in as vice president on Jan. 20, when President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated.
At 40 years old, Vance will become the youngest vice president since Richard Nixon took office in 1953, also at age 40.
“I was proud to stand with [Sen. Bernie Moreno] and [Dave McCormick] as they were sworn in to the US Senate. Congrats to them and to all of our new senators!” Vance wrote on X earlier in the day, referring to the new Republican senators from Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Vance, still a member of the Senate, has not announced what date he will resign from the upper chamber.
When he does, Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine will be tasked with appointing a replacement for Vance.

I have little faith in DeWine appointing a Conservative to the Senate.

When they were standing there, it was pretty clear that JD was laughing at kaMAla. Maybe because she didn’t know the words to the Pledge Of Allegiance.

What one needs is non Swamp, meaning little or no political history.

Could be a septoplasty—a straightening of the nasal passages in your nose. I had it. Helped with my snoring issues (although I still had to go on CPAP). The two or three days after you have it, your sinuses are packed with bandage and you have to sleep sitting up, which is quite annoying.
Sinus surgery can be small or big. I knew a man who had a tangled ball of capillaries in his sinus that had to be surged out. After the surgery he was not a happy camper.

He is the Ohio swamp monster.

Look for some on the left to start screaming that he’s in no condition to serve as Vice President and should step down immediately.
