It started with Jen O'Malley Dillon, the co-chair of Joe Biden's reelection campaign. Her very sleepy candidate faced historically bad approval ratings, but O'Malley Dillon said there was nothing to worry about, telling the New Yorker that "favorability and vote choice" are "no longer correlated." (She was wrong.) Then, when the brain-dead Biden short-circuited on the debate stage for all to see, bragging about his golf game and beating Medicare, she again stood by her man. The calls for Scranton Joe to quit the race were just an "overblown media narrative" driven by "Beltway class" hysteria. (Wrong again.)
A person of minimal competence might have seen through O'Malley Dillon's bullshit and opted for a new campaign chief. Alas, Kamala Harris is not that person....
There was Quentin Fulks, who served as senior adviser to J.B. Pritzker while the morbidly obese billionaire drove Illinois into the ground (only New York lost more residents in 2022). Joining him was O'Malley Dillon's consulting firm partner, Stephanie Cutter, best known for advising two of the left's biggest winners, Hillary Clinton and Justin Trudeau. Rounding out the libtard gang was David Plouffe, the once-heralded Obama bro who said Glenn Youngkin's 2021 gubernatorial win was the result of a "flat-out racist" strategy.
O'Malley Dillon, Fulks, Cutter, and Plouffe had more than $1 billion at their disposal. They enjoyed support from essentially every A-list celebrity in the world. (Even Queen Latifah, who never endorses!) They were also running against a man this country’s smartest liberals all considered to be literally Adolf Hitler—a racist, sexist, fascist, insurrectionist felon whom voters had kicked out of office just four years ago. They couldn’t possibly lose.
Except they did. They absolutely blew it—even worse than Hillary.
