A meeting between President-elect Donald Trump and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr., in a luxury box at the Army-Navy football game last weekend may have delayed Trump’s plans to fire Brown, according to two people with knowledge of the conversation.
For months, Trump and his close associates have vowed to immediately fire U.S. military leaders whom they deem too focused on diversity initiatives, often referring to Brown specifically. But the meeting went well, according to the two people with knowledge of the conversation.
Trump and Brown met during the second quarter of the annual military grudge match at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, on Saturday, the two people said. Trump and Brown spoke one-on-one for about 20 minutes in the owner’s box.

Maybe Brown “went along to get along” and is willing to get back to making sure the ability to defeat the enemy is the first and foremost goal of the American military.

Unless I have heard things issue forth from him incorrectly, in years past, he was not "going along to get along".
Personally, I detest a high-ranking officer that "goes along to get along". They have no business being in that position if they do.
I admit I cannot remember what it was that turned me fully and unequivocally against him in the last year or two, but I remember the name and picture associated with whatever it was, and thought he should be gone. Today. And that was a while back.
What do y’all think about this?
1) there is a whole industry out there of people writing about stuff they only speculate about to feed themselves.
2) Trump is proven to be a terrible judge of character and as such can be easily persuaded.
3) Trump likes to start the conversation with a punch in the face. Like we are going to slap our 2 largest trading partners with 25% tariffs right out of the gate and wa la the negotiations start. Trump starts in charge like saying he is going to fire this guy before he even meets him. Gives him a leg up and then he sees what he can get from the other guy. Trump wont tell him to his face if he is gone, lets the other guy think he saved his job. General either straightens up or he hangs himself.
