Canada's finance minister quits over Trump tariff dispute with Trudeau

Canada's Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland has resigned from her post, citing disagreements with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on how to respond to incoming President Donald Trump's threat of tariffs.

She announced her resignation in a letter to Trudeau on Monday, in which she said the two have been "at odds about the best path forward for Canada", and pointed to the "grave challenge" posed by Trump's policy of "aggressive economic nationalism".

Freeland said the decision comes after Trudeau informed her last week that he no longer wanted her to be his government's top economic adviser.

Her resignation came hours before she was due to provide an annual fiscal government update in parliament.

She quit because she failed to produce her assigned work product for parliament, and then blames it on others.

Two interesting points
1. She is the deputy prime minister as well.
2. Her predecessor in the finance role resigned as well.

Canada has some systematic financial issues that need to be addressed.

I heard Justine admonishing the u.s. for missing two opportunities to elect females to the presidency. Guess we’re just mean huh? Luck is with Justine since they appear to be the second one elected in canada.

Does she stay in the deputy prime minister post? I was getting excited over the resignation of a World Economic Forum political operative.

I am sure she is heading off to Switzerland for that much deserved vacation, and to count her money.

“I heard Justine admonishing the u.s. for missing two opportunities to elect females to the presidency “

Yeah that was smart, Castro’s daughter complaining that Trump’s opponent lost when Trump is about to become President.

All they have to do is stop the flow of illegals from Canada to the USA and no tariffs. Seems like an easy problem to solve.

What did Canada do to cause Trump to levy the tariffs in the first place?

Freeland is nuts

Watch a video of her - she twitches, can’t control her movements, speaks in crazy woke slogans.

She belongs in an asylum

Canada allows in vast numbers of immigrants, many of whom jump the border into the US, as they planned all along. Apparently lots of illegal drugs like fentanyl are flooding into the US from Canada also. Trump’s threat is to impose 25% tariffs unless the Canadian government curtails both.

Like most of the world, Canada’s economy depends on imbalanced trade with the US (they like selling to us without buying nearly so much from us).

The National Post article below has more detail.

Freeland apparently had already been told she was going to lose the Finance Minster position and get another Cabinet slot.

Instead she quit the Front Bench entirely. She is going to remain an MP as a backbencher and will run in the next election.

Most likely she is going to go for the leadership of the Liberals (assuming she doesn’t lose her seat) after the Grits get shellacked in the next election.

Just in time for Christmas, the garden gnome and Santa’s favorite elf are going at it, while the Christmas lights flicker off in the green afterglow of sustainable energy, not quite able to suck enough voltage from the immobile wind turbines during anticyclonic calm.

Freiland is a bit like Debbie Downer without as many close personal friends.

Trudeau is a feminist who cannot tolerate strong women, and a spokesman for the middle class who has never done his own shopping except in Davos.

Neither of them will be leader of the Liberals after the coming electoral disaster (they are probably going to lose half their seats and are already in a bare minority coalition). But they will both be candidates, Justin won’t go until he is forced to leave and she will try for the top job unless Schwab tells her not to, of course.

She is loyal to the boss, and JT is not the boss. So this likely signals that the globalists are displeased with JT. That makes it unanimous apart from two remaining sycophants and his butler.

This just in: Trudeau butler quits.
