My local county regional transit district bought 8 Protera electric buses at $1 million each. Then Protera went out of business. Just taking up space at the bus yard now.

So is that $300,000 per vehicle? I can’t do math in my head very well.

Nothing says “inflation reduction” like 298 grand for a pick-em-up truck.

$296,000 per vehicle? About two times diesel powered! Must be nice to be able to pay 2X for something, especially when it’s not your money!

With our money put on the national debt to pay for the worst legislation in modern times. And of course printing money to pay for it causing the inflation we see today.

I have a zero emission vehicle I would sell them at a discount for only $189,000. 95 van that doesn’t run so zero emissions. You could sit in it and listen to the radio if ou would put a battery in it.

From what I read they bought 8 (eight) electric vehicles @ one (1) mil each, last I checked that makes 8 x 1 mil or 8 mils. How do you come up with 300 K. Just wondering not that it matters. But please correct me if I read it wrong, as I been wrong before.
