Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.), a left-wing Catholic, responded defiantly to the archbishop for her home city banning her from receiving Holy Communion in the archdiocese because of her support for abortion. Pelosi spoke with the National Catholic Register about a range of issues including San Francisco archbishop Salvatore Cordileone’s letter in 2022 prohibiting Pelosi from being given communion, an order she did not take to heart.
“I received Communion anyway. That’s his problem, not mine,” Pelosi said. “My Catholic faith is, Christ is my savior. It has nothing to do with the bishops.” Pelosi further described her reliance on her faith and her belief that there is a “divine spark” in each person, a view she shared with the late Representative John Lewis (D., Ga.).
“My faith is always with me. I always feel there’s an angel on my shoulder,” she said. “That spark of divinity is what I respect in every person, especially if they respect it in themselves.” Pelosi also voiced her opposition to the Vatican’s controversial deal with the Chinese Communist Party related to the appointment of Bishops for the state-approved church. Her views are more aligned with retired Hong Kong cardinal Joseph Zen, an outspoken critic of the Vatican’s agreement with China, which began in 2018 and was most recently renewed in October.

It's strange that she is critical of the Vatican's China deal, that's how the more conservative type Catholic's feel. And Cardinal Zen would not approve of her stance on abortion, or pretty much anything else.

Nancy is a demon possessed individual who blasphemous acts are in the open. That’s how far we’ve fallen as a nation. Do I want to see people burned at the stake for blasphemy? Do you?

My father never took the Eucharist and I asked him once... Why not? He jokingly said it was for sinners.
The reality was, he fought in Korea and I think there was something about all that killing that made him believe that he wasn’t worthy of it. He was otherwise devout... Didn’t believe in abortion, didn’t believe in the death penalty and was as Christian as Christian can be.
Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For any one who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment upon himself.

This is true but a lot of the damage she has inflicted on this nation will linger for years.
As a Catholic, the receipt of a piece of unleavened bread doesn’t mean you received communion.
Beat me byn one minute. Paul beat both of us by 2000 years. If she were really a respecter of the Eucharist, she would avoid it like the plague.
When she dies, she will meet her good buddy Satan.

Well, Pelosi respects "the spark of divinity" in every person…
…EXCEPT THE PERSONS IN THE WOMB WHO GET PULLED APART LIMB-FROM-LIMB DURING ABORTIONS.
Of course, the bishops should have outright excommunicated Pelosi years and years ago.
The fact that they haven't, and hence that Pelosi serves as a hero to SF Bay Area catholic liberals, is a big part in why I fled the catholic church.
