A man who was twice sentenced to execution and twice avoided that fate died in a prison hospital over the weekend.
Darryl T. Kemp, 88, died of natural causes Saturday at the California Medical Facility in Solano County, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

That sounds like mockery of defense.
I wasn’t aware that the state placed a “permanent freeze” on executions. When did that happen? I know that Newsom freezed them during his term as governor, but “permanent”? I think that’s a misstatement.

For a well governed state, official policy and laws must be the polar opposite of California's.
The most recent California execution was 2006.
Just 13 executions between 1992 and 2006.
There are 737 people on California Death Row.
Getting the death penalty extends the life expectancy of these animals by at least 20 years. Not to mention better food, better accommodations, and even their clothing is free. Watch TV, work out, and play X-Box all day then spend the night playing with Willie. Its tough being a murderer these days.
We need more Daniel Pennys near every school not fewer. These mini thug groups are cropping up everywhere. The elderly and disabled aren’t safe anywhere anymore.
