Late Friday morning the members of the jury in the case against American hero Daniel Penny informed the court that they are struggling to reach a verdict — and that alone is a travesty.
The reality is that Penny, a Marine veteran, stepped up to protect innocent passengers on a New York City subway in May of 2023 when a belligerent, out-of-control thug, Jordan Neely, began taunting passengers that “I’m going to kill you,” “I’m prepared to go to jail for life,” and “I’m willing to die.”

Unfortunately one of the jurors was wearing a mask, so Penny was never going to get a not-guilty from that one.
I know it’s not earth shattering news but I’m guessing there’s several blacks on the jury and that’s who believes the manslaughter charge is appropriate.
.......there is no doubt in my mind that some day not long from now some man like Penney will not step in and protect those that can’t protect themselves because of this outrage trial of Penney.
Some people are too stupid to put on a jury or be a District Attorney.
Probably 1-3 wanted a conviction, likely black jurors, but the other 9-11 voted not guilty. If there was a large majority voting to not convict, I’d be very surprised if Bragg wants another trial. He’s had a very bad couple of weeks.
They must have some jurors who never ride subways.
I would think we would already be there after the Saint George Floyd nonsense.
I will never understand, nor fail to admire, those who race to the sound of gunfire.
Was the jury sequestered?
Military takes an oath to defend and protect. The jury does not take an oath to protect anyone. Many are biased from the start. They do not care whether a person is protecting or defending citizens.
Punish someone for doing the right thing? The country is all backward and many are mentally ill.
They just asked to dismiss the manslaughter charge..so now they are going all in on the criminal negligent homicide BS..hoping that the jury says “Okie dokie let’s just convict him of something to satisfy the whack jobs outside”
A true and honest of a “jury of his peers” would be a squad of combat Marines.
On the contrary. A white liberal Karen wants a conviction.

It might be earth shattering news to you, but in NYC, in today’s day and age, there are probably plenty of non-POCs who would believe the manslaughter charge is appropriate.
Meaning, whites.
One or more of whom may be members of this jury of his peers.
The judge has dismissed the manslaughter charge. Jury will consider Count Two: Criminally Negligent Homicide.
