This is airing on national TV along with digital platforms in Iowa - home to a potential holdout vote, Senator Joni Ernst.

That certainly answers the question whether Trump REALLY supports his candidate.
The only reason anyone is questioning Hegseth’s nomination is because they’ve been mentally manipulated by the enemy media.
First, Trump needs to send the message to Ernst loud and clear, that regardless of Hegseth, she has ZERO chance of being nominated. Just to make sure there’s no false expectations...
Second, someone needs to make her understand that 865,000 people in ONE state voted for her, and over 77,000,000 people voted for Trump and his ideas.
She is NOT the Decider, she is NOT the Senate. Give us Trump’s man!
Repukes are ridiculous. This is a lay up. Confirm his cabinet picks!
If she cannot get her Tribalism (hating Hegseth only because he’s a man), then the GOP has no need for her.
Someone should remind Erst of what happened to Sasse former Senator from NE when he tried to be obstructionist to Trump
Only GOP Senator ever to be censured by his own state party. Could not even run for re-election he had so little support back home.
Guess Joni wants to be the next one.
Joni loves men. Young men. It’s a DC thing.
Fake news losing clout.
Just left a vm on her DC phone. I’m an Iowa resident.
Have already seen some pieces suggesting she’s being a good squish and is ‘moderating’ her opposition. She figured that Iowa, even more than most states, keeps re-electing folks forever (look at Chuck Grassley, look at our previous Governor who holds US record for longest tenure as such) so that she’d have her gig forever. She’s learning Trump doesn’t play like the good old boys club. My US Rep may be like Susan Collins, the best we can get for that district, but state wide someone better than Joni can win. And as for Grassley, he’s the eldest of the old guard, but he’s also arguably the least RINO of the old guard, at least if you give him a pass on corn ethanol figuring anyone electable of out Iowa would vote that the same. And although ancient, he’s still sharper than many polls a generation younger.
Good that’s what is needed. All Iowa republicans need to be burning up the lines to both DC and her local offices
Thank you for the inside look at Iowa politics
“”she has ZERO chance of being nominated””
For what?
Ernst is bought and paid for by bad forces
We have our own Deep State stooges purporting to be either conservatives or Republicans who want to get one of their own into the SecDef position.
They are scared to death someone will upset the gravy train.
Appears the pressure is having an effect as she has just come out announcing a second meeting with Hegseth next week.
The democrat/media cartel tries to Bork republican nominees every time they get a chance.
One of the reasons they do this over and over idiots, is because it is a one-way street.
Democrat’s destroy republican nominees with impunity.
There is no tit for tat.
Republicans just lay down for democrats without nary a whimper to confirm just about every democrat nominee.
Republicans approve them all without “Borking” - democrat communists, socialists racists, cross-dressers, flagrant homos, pedophiles, idiots, whores, whore-masters, drunks, drug addicts, rapists’ and molesters - every one gets a pass from republicans.
They even let that worthless colostomy bag, Ketanji Brown Jackson, on the Supreme Court along with Sotomayer and Kagan.
If Republicans gave democrats a taste of their own tactics and Borked their nominees, tearing them apart in public the way democrats destroy republican nominees, democrats might not be so ready to attack every republican nominee with their false accusations, lies, and exaggerations.
Republicans as a group need to grow some manly cajones and learn to fight democrats at their level.
1. - Stand by your own nominees and don’t give in to their Borking .
2. - Treat democrat nominees the way democrats treat republican nominees.
Washington DC politics is more vicious than a weekend street fight in Chicago, but republicans treat it like a day with Rebecca at Sunnybrook farm.
The kooks are dependent on more money for deceptive political advertisements to become re-elected. They are paid to do what the military machine instructs them to do. The media gets the money to air political ads.
