WaPo’s Editorial Board Rips Biden Pardon as ‘Selfish’
Breitbart ^ | 12/03/2024 | Wendell Husebo

President Joe Biden’s pardon of Hunter Biden is “selfish,” legitimizing potential pardons of January 6 defendants, the Washington Post’s editorial board complained Tuesday.

The paper’s statement comes after media elites had for months regurgitated Joe Biden’s repeated lie that he would not pardon Hunter – all while Joe Biden reportedly planned to do so. The Post’s editorial board seemed to accuse Joe Biden of undermining its narratives about him. In one action, the Post explained, Joe Biden gave the lie to claims that the president upheld the rule of law and had respect for the judicial process, institutional integrity, and democratic principles.

The Post’s editorial board wrote:Mr. Biden, of course, argues that pardoning his son strikes a blow for fairness in law enforcement. His statement on the pardon — in which he uses the words, “I believe in the justice system, but …” — claims that “no reasonable person” could “reach any other conclusion than Hunter was singled out only because he is my son.” Yet such considerations were apparently not so compelling when he pledged previously not to pardon Hunter. And his son clearly broke the law. A federal jury of Hunter Biden’s peers found him guilty of three firearm-related felonies in Delaware. Hunter also pleaded guilty to tax evasion charges that carry a penalty of up to 17 years in prison. The gun charges, essentially that the younger Mr. Biden lied on a purchase application form when he denied using drugs, is particularly hard to ignore. Such laws, however rarely enforced, are on the books to help keep firearms out of the hands of those who might pose a danger to themselves or others.

I think it’s real outrage, but only that this made them look bad, and helps Trump, if it didn’t have those consequences it wouldn’t have bothered them.

They don’t care about the rule of law.

Yes, they were in on and supported the lie from the start and now they want to pretend they're shocked that Biden would lie to them.

It's fake outrage - the only thing media 'elites' care about is keeping J6 political prisoners in jail. Also, WP bimbos and pretentious 'men' want the country to believe they have values BEYOND kissing democrat butt. They don't.

Did anyone besides gullible liberals really believe that Biden would let his kid go to jail?

Great question. Hunter can no longer be criminally prosecuted for his tax crimes. But could the IRS sue him in civil court?

“ But could the IRS sue him in civil court?”

A simple tax audit from the last seven years will do.

They have been watching this guy for about 50 years and they just figured out that he is selfish? Wow.

So no official statement from George Clooney yet, the arbiter of all things liberal. He now has the same status as Don Lemon deciding which women are in their prime or past it, after all.

MSM has received its orders, it’s time to beat up on Biden, he is no longer an asset to the revolution. It also keeps people distracted from having to beat up on Kamala, who is also no longer an asset to the revolution, but is a nonwhite vagina and so must be allowed to extinguish quietly.

Biden proved the “journalists” were stupid as rocks if they believed his “no pardon, never”—evil propagandists if they did not.

In just a few short months he goes from “selfless” by getting stabbed in the back by pelosi, to “selfish.” Liberal standards are clearly written of the wheel of fortune.

The communists want patriots in prison so badly they expect Biden to abandon his son to a prison system where men are raped, assaulted and murdered on a regular basis. Epstein didn’t commit suicide.

That's the real crime here - not that Hunter Biden is a serial criminal, bag man, bribe taker, money launderer, drug addict, and influence peddler, but that his boss has imperiled the holy writ of media narrative. They may actually be indignant about this; they can afford to since it's a done deal.

It was selfish alright. He did it to protect himself. Not his son.

Usually, when adults act like hunter, they were also pampered and non accountable when young.
He is one sick man..with a sick father.
There was a video on internet, hunter in the act with his niece, against her will .. graphic..
And his father still gets him off free.. some family!.
And he was seated in the seat of authority in my country..
