Trump’s Ukraine envoy has a plan to end the war that Putin may revel in
CNN ^ | 11/29/24 | Nick Patton Walsh

CNN — In a single post, the president-elect told the world what the end of the Ukraine war might look like. And it is going to be a big diplomatic ask, to say the least.

“I am very pleased to nominate General Keith Kellogg to serve as Assistant to the President and Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social channel. “Together, we will secure PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH, and Make America, and the World, SAFE AGAIN!”

By appointing Keith Kellogg as his special envoy to Ukraine, Donald Trump has also chosen a very specific, pre-announced plan for the thorniest foreign policy issue on his plate.

Kellogg, Trump’s 80-year-old former national security advisor, has laid out his peace plan in some detail, writing for the America First policy institute in April.

It begins calling the war “an avoidable crisis that, due to the Biden Administration’s incompetent policies… has entangled America in an endless war.”

In short, a ceasefire will freeze the frontlines and both sides will be forced to the negotiating table. But it is in the longer details where it all gets complex.

That’s what we Putin stooges have been talking about, negotiations. We’ll soon be engaged in diplomacy. I voted for the master deal maker. He will make the deal and bring the peace.

CNN can pay for the Ukraine war if they want.
Oh wait. They can’t!
Europe has been fighting endless wars like forever, so why should America keep paying for European stupidity?

Besides it doesn't ever seem to work in the US's favor. Well WWII and the cold war but we had real threats and we were in it for the fight of our lives.

Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq not so much. Hind sight is 2020 I guess but we can learn from the past.

And continually provoking a fight with Russia is not smart.

Its a “Kissinger in Paris” scenario

Kellogg will talk tough and buy time for his President to extricate himself from an ill-conceived, unpopular and disastrous war promoted by his stupid predecessors. They also know Russia will never give up their hard-won battlefield advantages, nor give up their ultimate goals.

Along the path, there may be some “Linebacker II” analogous operations, like promising more ATACMS or something

It will take some years to play out, but this is cover for the US to leave Ukraine sooner, or later.

--- "Biden having even more senior moments?"

Please use the past tense verb. "Used." July of 2023 suggests his "senoir moments" linger over fifteen months, at a minimum. :)

I firmly believe that DS is trying to collapse Russia, perhaps spin it into a civil war, at a minimum perhaps a coup (repeat: At a minimum...).

This would likely result in nuclear materiel - perhaps even warheads - migrating to the black market to facilitate the next crisis meant to cement both the collapse of US republic and merge with a looming global cabal.

Ironically, this aligns perfectly with the ccp’s goals.

I’d have no problem with EMPs over ukeland to force an end to the conflict and compel Congress to withdraw ALL unilateral action - materiel AND $$ - from the administration until DJT is sworn.

One day Putin is a dangerous threat and the next day Putin is losing. The people writing this stuff must be off their meds or something.

DMZ along current lines.

Each side can take a few years to rearm and go back at it in The Second Ukraine War.

Not really.

Ukraine will take what they are given or they will go it alone.

Russia cannot conquer all of Ukraine over these last 33 months AND Russia is going to march through all of Europe starting soon. Russia is going to collapse economically soon AND Russia's GDP is growing. Russian manufacturing of war materiel is backward and "shovel" ready ( a play on words in tribute to the Obama-Biden administration ) if it can get washing machine parts, AND Russia us rushing ahead with hypersonic weapons. Russia is threatening President Trump AND Russia is warning of threats against President Trump.

A favorite sentence from this morning's news posting, of the latest attacks, "Zelenskiy called this as ‘a tactic to disrupt attempts to end the war’." Yup.

Warring disrupts attempts to end war. Such clarification is wondrous to behold.

US gets

Chukotka Autonomous Okrug
Jewish Autonomous Oblast
Kamchatka Krai
Khabarovsk Krai
Magadan Oblast
Primorsky Krai
Sakhalin Oblast

Russia gets parts of Russian Ukraine after conditions are met over ten years.

Putin gets to retire and is not executed.

The two descriptions are not exclusive. Many a hunter has suffered grievous harm from a mortally wounded bear.

Well WWII and the cold war but we had real threats and we were in it for the fight of our lives.

WW2 and the cold wars, were only threats after they had begun. What caused those wars to get started were conditions which were exactly the same as they are now in Europe and elsewhere. "Little things' can lead to much bigger things, such as wars which tend to ensnare many other parties who had assumed 'neutral' positions.

We can be neutral and take part in negotiations, but, the hostile parties cannot be assuaged and eventually the hostilities begin anew. We cannot be so pretentious as to believe that 'certain parties' will accept the terms of negotiations and be content in the future or even near future. Europe and many other parts of the world are like volcanoes: quiet for some time(s), but explosive many other times. You can't negotiate with volcanoes.

Call it a “Two State Solution”. CNN loves that sort of thing.
